Vetyverio by Diptyque for women and men

I sprayed this on my arm to test it and it was making me nauseous after a few hours. It started off nice but then began to smell like something burnt. Not sure if it was the musk, clove, cedar or rose (maybe a combination of them) but I had to wash this off my arm.

Nice, very nice vetiver in this, which perhaps doesn't add a huge amount to vetiver-centred perfumes but is lovely for what it is.

It opens with a classic citrus/vetiver, then after an hour mostly vetiver remains, which is no surprise since vetiver is always very lasting. There is as some have mentioned, a long lasting citrus, blended perfectly with vetiver, like bitter lime or lemon peel but not harsh or too strong

This focuses on vetiver's green astringency, that dry yet refreshing quality that makes it so lovely in summer or any time you want to feel relaxed and refreshed. Vetyverio would be a lovely unisex perfume in summer - after your shower with your fresh clean shirt or blouse, perfect!

I personally didn't care for it and found it to be more of a masculine scent than a unisex fragrance. The longevity is also lacking, but it is a nice, non-cloying earthy scent. I find no evidence of ylang-ylang or geranium, however.

love the smell. vetiver dulled by citrus. wonderful.
the longevity is not the best though...
