Vanilla Fields by Coty for women

Vanilla Fields had been in my collection as early as I started collecting. Who knows, this may have even be my first perfume! I remember getting bottles and bottles of it around the holidays. It wasn't my favorite, exactly, but it was always around.

Now, as an adult, I'm actually surprised at how thick and heavy Vanilla Fields is. I was expecting something light and airy - a wispy and unoffensive vanilla. But this is deep, spicy, and warm. The wood notes, too, so prominent! It's no wonder my nose has evolved to appreciate spices and woods in perfumes if Vanilla Fields is what I grew up on! Ugh, and that delicious coconut and tonka! I can't believe how earthy and complex this is for the price! To me, this isn't synthetic or cheap smelling at all. I just love Coty fragrances (particularly their quality for the value) and Vanilla Fields is definitely one of their gems.

Smells cheap. A bit strong too.

Everytime I smell this scent it makes me think of when I was in high school....my sister had this perfume! It is still a great scent, in my opinion. Green + vanilla, yum.

I remember girls wearing this back when. I really am not a vanilla-total person and I felt like I was too old for it. However, I always thought it was a delightful smell in the air! It was a pleasant surprise to have smelt it again the other day for the first time in a long while. Nice, very nice and comforting!

This fragrance is not a gourmand vanilla, but more like sweet, warm woodsy vanilla. Amber rounds off the scent, so you really only detect very light flowers and fruits in the opening - very very light. It's very appealing, but again, for young girls and young women, in my opinion. When I desire vanilla, I wear Chopard's Casmir - I believe it's more grown-up and age appropriate for me. BUT, I do love catching a waft of Vanilla Fields in the air from time to time!
