  1. In the same vein as Vintage Opium

by Betsy on Jan 13, 2016

This doesn't smell "like" Opium, but it shares a few of the same characteristics. I didn't care for it at first (it was too dry and powdery) but it grew on me. Probably my tastes are becoming more sophisticated.
If you like Opium, chances are you'd find this one interesting, too. But if you don't like it, you'd be unlikely to enjoy Timbuktu. I'd definitely consider this Unisex.
  2. Mango Herbal

by Nazia on Dec 8, 2015

What an interesting scent! It smells very South Asian to me, so it's funny that scents that I've smelled traditionally growing up that weren't expensive perfumes, but were just aromatic "scents" in the air are bottled in other parts of the world. The most interesting part for me here is the mango. I's not sweet at all; it's a very sour mango (my favorite kind!) It's a very interesting combination with the dry grass and incense smells. And for an EDT, this stuff projects! And lasts and lasts. I'm excited to see how this smells on my significant other - I have a feeling this could smell great on a man.

  5. Good and different

by Ronny on Mar 28, 2015

This one is differnt, tropical fruit and incense is most notable, great scent that grew on me the more I tried it!
  6. Nope

by Beth on Mar 1, 2015

Unlike other L'Artisan scents I've sampled, this one is just not for me.
  7. Strange

by Claudette on Jul 4, 2014

I didn't care for this scent. At first I thought it smelled like celery seeds. Then like Sen-sen candy. Not a fragrance I'd like to wear.
  8. amazing...

by Mario on Apr 3, 2014

mango and incense, spectacular! longevity isn't a much as i hoped for, in 5 hours it becomes a skin scent, which is a pity. otherwise, unique and amazing...
  9. amazing!

  10. Kind of a strange but nice scent.

by Jeffrey on Jan 20, 2014

I don't know what to make of this fragrance. It just about smells horrible when you first spray it on,and then it smells a lot better in the drydown. It smells like some type of "dated" men's deodorant spray and (or)mens' hairspray. I also smell some note in it that I don't like too well which sort of reminds me of "Givenchy Gentlemen" (patchouli). After all that in the final phases of the drydown, those parts fade, and it smells more pleasant and faintly sweet in a good way. "Karo Karounde"is one of the notes in the fragrance. I don't know what it smells like but it's a flower that grows in Africa. This is a type of fragrance that I'm not sure if I like it,but may later on as I try a sample of it more often.
