A wearable rose!
by Morgan on Sep 24, 2018
I’m guilting if scoffing at rose perfumes—they tend to smell like grandma to me and while I enjoy rose in other kinds of fragrances (dr bronners rose soap rocks) I haven’t smelled a rose fragrance I would ever buy...that is before trying Stella. This manages to keep rose at the forefront of the fragrance while wood, amber and a hint of citrus compliment it, creating such a modern take on what I thought should have been a retired fragrance note. What a pleasant surprise this was!

Due to wood notes can seem bit heavy perfume, almost unisex, but in same time feminine enough. At some moments smells like real rose. This perfume is more grown up than regular sweet modern scents. But defiantly not old. I would say for woman somewhere around 30. For artistic woman who is on movement, maybe lives in city. Can fit any season.

On me I got the amber, mandarin and woods note when first on but on dry down you get the rose and other flower notes. If you like a flower scent and not too heavy on the woods notes this classic scent is for you.

If rose has a tendency to go sour on you as it does on me, this one likely will too.I don't smell anything underneath the rose interesting enough to make me put up with it for very long, either,

Stella is the little black dress of feminine rose perfumes. It's the perfect go-to fragrance when in the mood for this beautiful flower.

This is really lovely. I probably won't purchase but the smell is very simple. It is a classic rose scent. Suitable for the office or when you want to feel very feminine.
by Amanda on Mar 14, 2017
On me, it smells like a watered down rose and the other notes don't really blossom on my skin. That being said, it smells AMAZING on everyone else. Just my luck.

Many times I will surprisingly find myself liking a fragrance with unlikable notes in it. I do not like rose. I decided to trust the raves and give this one the benefit of the doubt that it will be pleasant despite the rose note, because it's so popular and esteemed. NOPE. Should've gone with my gut and avoided it. If you like rose, hey- this one's perfect for you and this is a 5 star review. Rose and not much else sadly.
Solid Rose Fragrance
by Denette on Feb 17, 2017
If you like rose fragrances, this is just that...rose! It is pretty rose blended with peony and grounded out with amber to give it some depth. It seems to be a wet and heavy type rose, but not dated. I get great longevity and projection. I enjoy wearing this one in the spring and fall.
pretty but weak

stella is a gorgeous red velvety rose fragrance but it has poor projection and even worse lasting power on me. lasted about 30 mins and it was gone.

Stella is my favorite sexy perfume. It's a rich fragrance, and very feminine. Such a great scent.

Did not like this old smelling perfume at all tooooo mature
by Jeri on Jun 10, 2016
I love roses, and this does not disappoint. The amber sort of anchors the rose in this beautiful scent. I can imagine wearing this all summer long, and it gets really hot here! There is a freshness to this-I wouldn't say it's light. I just love it!
Yup - It's Rosey
by Laura on Jun 10, 2016
In the beginning, this rose is pretty and I think the peony and mandarin do a nice job keeping it fresh, but only for the first little while. Once those two notes die down and the rose mid-note is by itself, the scent turns a little "sadder" (as Tatyana, below, mentioned). At this point, it smells more like Perfumer's Workshop "Tea Rose". Which I already have, so there's no need for a full bottle of this - thank you myperfumesamples.com for saving me again!

Very strong rose note but the rose is very sad here. The fragrance creates a very melancholic mood. I wear it on rainy days mostly.

I got this perfume as a sample at Sephora and I had to go back to buy this warm rose beauty. I really love the rose in this perfume!

This is a little on the light side. Its clean and maybe I cath some floral in there but its just way too weak and plain for me. This would be a good scent for work
A fine scent

There's nothing wrong with Stella. It's a nice, clean, mature scent. But it doesn't really stand out. It's very bland. All of the fragrance notes are beautiful, but the perfume itself just doesn't have a lot of body. I have no complaints about it, but it's not something I would buy more than a sample of.

A very pretty, ambery rose. Compared to Serge Lutens Sa Majesté la Rose, or Frederic Malle, Une Rose, Stella is not a particularly memorable one. Nevertheless it is very pleasant and wearable. Polished and polite.

This is a beautiful scent! I highly recommend it!
by Cassie on Oct 17, 2015
I thought I would really like this perfume because it seemed like it was recommended to me by every perfume website which allegedly recommends different perfumes based off of a person's usual favorites. But I am thinking that it must just be really good marketing or the company has spent extra money to push this product over others because it does not smell like any of my favorite perfumes. I felt that it was more an evening scent that smelled like it would be more appropriate on a classy and fashionable 50 year old. I enjoy more of the summer floral/fruity scents and I feel like I will have to hold off on this one for at least the next twenty years.
Pretty Soft Rose
by Brianna on Jul 17, 2015
As a non-rose fan, I found Stella to be very pretty and soft smelling. If you are a rose scent lover, a definite add to your collection. I could see this to be worn in the month of February.

This brought rose back into the mainstream. A new classic.
by Nazia on Mar 21, 2015
Definitely have smelled this on others before. It's very sour at the opening, which I didn't like at first, but it soon turned into a very lovely rose. It's sweet, jammy (smells like raspberry jam to me!) floral, mmm...I can see why people love this one :)
by Brenda on Jan 22, 2015
Lovely floral scent, especially as the top notes settle into the heart. Unfortunately, on my dry skin it isn't particularly long lasting. Still, it's an elegant, romantic fragrance, perfect for a summer day.
Versatile, easy to wear
by Stephanie on Nov 15, 2014
Lovely scent, easy to wear for any occasion. I love the smell of roses but have never found a rose perfume that I liked. This mixture of scents works, though it is not recognizably a rose perfume. I wish it was a bit more long lasting, and it's not entirely unique, which is why I don't give it 5 stars, but it's better than a lot of others.
by Carrie on Jun 22, 2014
One thing about rose perfumes is they can be obnoxious and overwhelming. This is the exception. It's light and perfect. It lasts long as well. This is a must have if you like rose scents
