Unmemorable floral

I love freesia, and I am unable to find in Ofresia the charming scent of the flower. Although this is not freesia, it is a pleasant, somewhat inoffensive, unremarkable floral. The lasting power is not remarkable either. It ends in a soapy dry down, completely alien to the natural flower. It has a distant similarity to a faded lily of the valley, a whiff of green. no woody notes. An unmemorable scent.
The "other" side of Freesia

I'd always experienced freesia as a loud-yet-delicate and soft, summer scent. Even somewhat salty. I've never thought it to smell like BO or cat urine, though I've seen it described that way.
This doesn't smell bad, but the woods and pepper reveal an aspect of freesia I'd never known before (and can't fully appreciate).
