Good Christmas Scent
by Kim on Dec 17, 2017
For anyone looking for something to wear to a Christmas party, this fits the bill. It's warm and spicy and I absolutely love it. It lasts a long time too, after wearing it I find myself sniffing my sweater because it's so good. Used to be "my" scent

Autumn
by Jamie on Aug 22, 2017
I love this perfume. It reminds me of fall. It's definitely strong and spicy, and wouldn't be good for everyday use, but would add that extra kick on a romantic outing.

Very good!
by Hope on May 17, 2017
I was surprised by how much I like this! I liked it enough to purchase a full bottle, and this for a single note beautiful worked-- coriander! This has been my first experience in discerning coriander in a perfume, and it's addictive! I'm just a tiny bit obsessed with the coriander in Obsession. :)

A Classic, But Not for Everyone
by KE on Feb 13, 2017
I have a hard time with Obsession, due to its harsh and spicy nature. It has a kick to it that is difficult to handle for me. Maybe on some people it's beautiful, but on me it feels harsh, dated, and over-used. It almost gives me a headache. Hopefully others will like it better on them!

One of my favorite perfumes!
by Crystal on May 20, 2016
I LOVE this scent! It is definitely one of my favorite signature scents. It just smells really good on me, and I usually get a lot of compliments when I wear it.
I agree, this scent is definitely more for the evening, although I wear it during the day sometimes as well. But yes, it's definitely a very spicy, sultry perfume for a fancy evening out.
This will always be a staple in my perfume collection. It's definitely a classic.

Very nice, classic
by MrsPress on May 14, 2016
This is a classic fragrance in my opinion. It is very spicy, but not quite what I would consider to be an oriental fragrance. It's very deep and sultry. An absolute beauty if worn sparingly. If overdone it is likely to induce a headache. It's most suitable for cool weather, personally I would never wear this in warm weather.

Kind of strange
by Betsy on Apr 15, 2016
I know it is a classic, and deservedly so
The beginning has a lot of fruity notes (citruses, peach, and maybe even pineapple) clamoring for attention. After a while, spices and heady white florals join the fray.
Either there isn't enough civet for me to discern, or I haven't learned to identify it.
It mellows out after some hours, and while the green leafy notes,, fruits, flowers, and spices from the top and middle notes never disappear completely, they do quiet down to make room for the earthy, animalic base notes.
It is a fantastic composition that speaks of another time, but is classic and refuses to become dated.

Purring perfume of the night
by Rose on Apr 12, 2016
This used to be very popular when it was first released in the 80s. To me it's absolutely a perfume of the night, yet it's not too strident, it's more persistent with its honeyed musk/amber notes.
It's definitely got an animal edge - slightly urinous! If you think of the smell of natural honey it's like that, but smoother, with a soft woodiness. It can really get on some people's nerves if they're not keen on persistent animalic musky notes (this does contain civet which gives that catty note) so I'd absolutely avoid it at work. For nights out though, it has a warm, furry quality that gives a 'come hither' message.
Actually there are now quite a few new niche high-end and very expensive perfumes which are similar (amber/musky/animalic) - to name a few - MFK's Absolue pour le Soir, or Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur, buy Obsession and save your pennies! It's maybe less high quality but the effect is very similar

A classic
by Megan on Mar 22, 2016
This is the only perfume my mom consistently wore growing up and it's the first perfume I was really introduced to. It's such a smooth, spicy scent. I think it'll always be one of my favorites.

Much better than the men's version

Calvin Klein makes great women's fragrances - Obsession is a nice warm, sexy composition.

excellent
by Mario on Apr 19, 2015
probably the most 'niche' of the ck range. in between the beginning and the dry down there are some 'quirky' moments, kinda reminded me something a small perfume house would put out. try, and try many times before buying...

Spicy & Strong
by Dee on Apr 3, 2015
My review is kind of void because I'm not a fan of spicy fragrances. I thought I'd try to break away from my usual sweet gourmand choices. I didn't like this scent but I can appreciate why some would. If you tend towards the bold & exotic this would be great for you but if you're into fluffy & super sweet, it's not.

Spicy/Sexy
by Nazia on Feb 18, 2015
This is so smooth and sexy :) At first, I didn't like it, but it grew on me.
Smells almost masculine in a way, but is actually so feminine.

spicy good
by Jade on Jan 25, 2015
I love this one so much. It's so spicy and sexy. It makes me feel fantastic and mature. I use about two sprays and it lasts all day. You might need one refresher spritz if you are going to add a night on the town to a full day's wear. It's good for all seasons and any time of day. A nice sillage as well. The guy next to you will definitely smell it and wonder why you smell so good.

Sexy trend starter
by Stephanie on Nov 12, 2014
I haven't worn this since high school - everyone and their sister wore this then. I wasn't sure if I would still like it at my 40-something age, but it is a tasteful classic when worn properly (conservatively). It's one of the first of the warm, vanilla scents that are so popular now. The original is usually the best, and I believe this is no exception. It's subtle and seductive because it's more spicy and oriental instead of simply sweet, like all the copy cats out there. Only use a little - just a wiff is all you want. If you like that sort of scent and haven't tried this, give it a go - you won't be disappointed.
