I have smelled all 3 Modern Muse and they all smell great. This is my favorite. Very unique from other perfumes, sexy, classy, chic just like the name. I wear during the day and at knight. When my little daughters approve of a perfume it's always good. This is one of my three signature scents. The notes are all so lovely.
Modern Muse Chic.

I received this as a gift but I was not impressed. I really like the original but there is too much floral in it and does not last as long.

This is a good scent, although it's not one that I think I would purchase. It is surprisingly musky and woody, I think I smell the oud note listed. The florals are sweet and pleasing, although I wish they were at the forefront instead of being overpowered by the musk. I think I prefer slightly sweeter musky fragrances - this one, like the one in Narciso Rodriguez for her, goes a bit sour on me? Not too sour, just not sweet. All of that being said, if you like musky scents, this is a very good one. And it lasts for ages - I could still smell it clearly after 9 hours! The far drydown becomes a bit common smelling, especially with the cashmeran, but overall, I think it's a good floral musk, if that's your thing.

Despite the previous review, this fragrance did last on me and it was wonderful. Completely inoffensive and definitely chic. A great day time wear that is wonderfully feminine. It has a cheery, uplifting vibe. For a young woman.
Just my take

I was told that this was a very popular fragrance at the Estee Lauder counter, which for me is not really a positive, but decided to give this one a whirl and a real full-hearted try. In comparison to the regular Modern Muse, it is far less musky, which is a plus because it avoids the overly-scented, over-stimulation that I had issue with in that fragrance. Breaking down the notes, it's all favorable in my book, jasmine, white florals, vanilla, and the standard wood notes as well, so I can't figure out why it didn't work well on me. Perhaps just my chemistry. If it works on you, fantastic, what a great day time fragrance that is sure not to offend or off-put anyone, really. I sprayed it thrice, noted the plentiful soft white florals, and in 20 minutes, it was gone. I even verified this by giving my arm over to the cosmetics lady behind the counter who was helping me in case I was missing something. Nothing. And that's how it was for about an hour. When I got home, a new version arose, and again, like with the regular Modern Muse, it smelled like paper scented with crushed (dead) white flowers. And through the night, there it was, wafting about, glad to get it off of me. But, as I say, just my take.
