This is the classic chypre beloved by generations of women. Its heart is floral, with accent in gardenia and jasmine. A fragrance for an elegant lady of sophisticated taste. Baby powder-ish

Opens with a strong, lingering burst of aldehydes, making it almost too strong. Dries down after 5 minutes into a baby powder smell. White florals and powder dominate. Absolutely no sweetness. Dry down is very delicate and dainty. Linear and stays constant.

The longitivity was rather short - under 4 hours. Not happy with the scent fading but what do you expect for a toilette?
Interesting Chypre

This is so different from what I was expecting. It opens very fresh and green, but from the beginning there is something so lived in about this fragrance - I had just showered, but I was smelling from the fragrance a note that reminded me of the smell of my own skin (some time after a shower.) I liked that! I like that you can have a fragrance that smells simultaneously fresh and crisp and at the same time so comfortable, like your own skin. It's fascinating to me that the women of the 40s and 50s smelled like this instead of bubblegum. Thumbs up :)

This was the original Miss Dior that my mother wore in the 70's. It has ingredients I like.
It's pretty perfect, worth a try.

This goes on strong but fades surprisingly quick. It's similar to the new scent, but I do think the new scent lasts much longer and is much prettier. This one just fell sort of flat for me.
