This has got to be one of the most unique perfumes I've ever encountered. So many of my favorite notes are accounted for: Vanilla, tonka, sandalwood, pink pepper, almond, patchouli... but then there's the West Indian bay leaf. I feel like this note is a curve ball that lends a completely unique flair to what would probably otherwise be a mostly forgetful, albeit pleasant scent. It gives it a bit of exotic intrigue unlike any other fragrance. Somehow the bay leaf makes it smell humid - or oily, in a good way. There's nothing like it!
Warm, heavy, not-too-sweet vanilla

I liked this enough to buy a big bottle, then came across Luca Turin's one-star review. There is something heavy and synthetic about it, and I don't like it as well as I did when I bought it, but it still has its charms. The pink pepper isn't too heavy, and adds interest and warmth, and I love the bay leaf in the opening. Could easily be worn by a man who's not afraid of vanilla. Great longevity.
