There are few magnolia fragrances in the market, so I had great expectations when I tested this one. Like with its gardenia sister, my expectations were dashed. This is not more than a pleasant, undistinguished floral. If you want a true magnolia go to Frederic Malle. It is more expensive, but it is magnolia, and it lasts. Gucci's magnolia is wearable, glamorous it is not.

Light, Sweet Floral

This opens with a sweet magnolia, freesia, and a little citrus. The magnolia and peony wait a little while to flourish but are very pretty once they arrive!. The sillage on this isn't strong, so once its a softer floral, it's more of a skin scent and I have to go to my wrist to enjoy it. Nevertheless, an inoffensive, pretty scent.
