My mother has been wearing Giorgio Beverly Hills perfume since the 80s, and it’s her signature scent. The first thing I thought after I spritzed this on myself was that this is a modernized version of Giorgio. They both have the bergamot, lily, and vanilla/sandalwood base notes but Bamboo is both fresher in the opening and warmer in the dry down than Giorgio. Plus, the strength isn’t as in your face. This perfume has emotional memory for me and is a scent I would totally wear when I was feeling nostalgic.

Gucci has quality perfumes and this one sounded great in theory. But its not very fresh or green. It is heavy and powdery. It goes on fresh and drys down very perfumey. Not for my taste.
Wanted to Love
by Miea on Apr 24, 2018
I really wish there was more "greens" due to the dry down. Initially it starts to smell more refreshing and citrusy, but you still get the hints of the warmer sandalwood and flowery as it dry downs. The mix isn't what I quiet like, but my mom loves so I ended up getting it for her.

I like this fragrance but it does not last like I would like.
did not like
by Amy on Mar 22, 2017
I wanted to like this one so bad from the description, but unfortunately it was not good. The sandalwood/amber scents were too strong for me. I don't typically like those scents at all, but I didn't think they would be as prominent. After the perfume settles, then you can start to smell more of the "greens", but I can't get over the sandalwood and amber.

Gucci has done it with this one! I love the orange, sandalwood & vanilla together a must have

It sits a little too close to my skin but it's still pretty lovely. The lily notes are really nice and almost natural. I wish it was a little more spicy but its decent as it is.
Gucci strikes again!

Gucci makes great perfumes but this traverses away from the traditional heavier tones, providing a lighter, yet very nice natural fragrance. Nothing manufactured about this scent.

This scent is exotic, yet fresh. Gucci makes great scents, but this traverses away from their traditional heavier tones and provides a lighter lift. I love this for daily use when I am in the office.
Light & Pleasant
by Heather on Jan 15, 2016
This is a very light, airy, and pleasant fragrance - it probably can be worn year round.
It gives me a slight oriental vibe & kind of reminds me of Samsara.
I probably won't buy a full bottle, but will enjoy my samples!

I love lily, orange blossom, and ylang- ylang, so I was excited to try this, but it smelled like a generic fresh floral to me, like, say, Tory Burch. Disappointing.

The ylang-ylang is too strong in this scent. Not for headache prone gals.

First, I want to state that I LOVE lily notes in fragrance. It is my favorite floral note. In this fragrance, however, the lily is just all wrong. It's so weirdly powdery/metallic, but the main problem is that it has this undercurrent of something that reminds me of the smell of vomit. I've smelled a number of perfumes with this slight vomit tinge, I don't know if it's a type of musk that's being used or what - but it just makes me so nauseous. A pity, because this fragrance started out perfectly harmless - sharp, citrusy, and musky. I think many people would find this inoffensive, but for me, this is just not my thing.
Very nice fragrance

I think this is a very nice and easy to wear perfume. I don't know a whole lot about women's fragrance, but I smelled this before and I think it's a very nice scent.
