  1. Soapy lavender

by lls on Jun 10, 2016

Well-made, soapy lavender. Perfectly unisex, or slightly masculine. I appreciate the quality, but it's not for me.
  2. At first, this reminded me of being in a flower garden in early Spring on a cool gloomy day of grey skies.

by Jeffrey on Jun 8, 2016

This fragrance evoked this vibe of being in a flower garden in early Spring while it's still cool outside with gloomy grey skies. The scent of this almost is a "barber shop scent", probably due to the Lavender note in it. It's not too bad, slightly sweet, and woody. Finally a Serge Lutens fragrance that is wearable by some men.! Others I've tried by Serge Lutens lately were just too floral for me, therefore more for women.
  3. Tenacious Lavender

by Hope on Oct 20, 2015

The main notes, to my nose are lavender and light, natural vanilla which is the tonka bean. I smell a little incense if I look for it, especially as it settles. Crisp and fresh scent in the beginning and dries down smoother with the sweetness of the tonka bean coming more to the front. It's invigorating, yet calming. Doesn't take much as it's a moderately strong fragrance. Good projection on this one. I like it and think it would work equally well for men or women. If you like lavender, you will like this. :)
  4. too masculine

by Stephanie on Nov 8, 2014

I actually like scents that tend toward the unisex/masculine, but this one goes too far in the masculine direction for me. It's a nice scent, but I'll give it to my husband and enjoy it on him.
  5. An ode to Gris Clair

by Megan on Jul 15, 2014

It's early morning, the sky is grey and misty, and the earth is just waking up. You're sitting in a field of lavender leaning against a tree, wrapped in a grey blanket and sipping on some vanilla chai tea. You inhale deeply, and you smell the lavender, the tree, a hint of the vanilla from your tea, and a faint trace of smoke from the bonfire last night. There's a chill in the air, for the sun has not yet risen, and you pull your blanket closer around your body. It smells powdery and clean, probably from the laundry. As you take it all in, you smile and realize just how wonderful you feel in this moment. You can't quite put your finger on it--you're not feeling particularly special, or amazing, or excited, but just...content. Yes, that's it--calm, comfortable, and content. Happy to be there, taking a moment for yourself to enjoy the beauty of the early morning. For this quiet, peaceful moment is not full of noise, bright lights, and color, and it's not the starkness of black or white. It is simply....light grey.
