    Too strong for me
  3. Too Harsh For Me

by KE on Feb 17, 2017

The opening of this fragrance is harsh, sharp, and old-fashioned. I understand that it settles into something softer, but I've not been able to get past those top notes. For that reason this is not my cup of tea, but those who like these notes or more old-school fragrances may enjoy this one.
  4. outdated

It's not as bad as Drakkar Noir, but I don't think this is very suitable anymore.
  5. 70s scent

by Colin on Jun 26, 2015

Grey Flannel is a oriental woody fragrance that is likeable and unoffensive. It's too powdery and floral for my taste but I know many people like this one as it's been around saince the 70s.
  6. Woolly

by Nazia on Apr 2, 2015

A lot of violet and iris in this fragrance. I love it when men's fragrances contain floral notes to soften the harsh woods. This one opens with a fresh burst of neroli and petitgrain - very refreshing, but in an herbal citrus way instead of just citrus.

The other interesting part of this fragrance is that it smells almost woolly. Like as if the fragrance is coming off the fibers of a wool coat, or "flannel" shirt. But it's coming off my skin...bizarre. I like it.
  7. "Grey flannel" for a man in a wool grey suit

by Jeffrey on Jan 2, 2014

Grey Flannel has been around for years. I had a full bottle years ago and now I have a mini-bottle. Not in my favorites for a cologne to wear. It idoes smell nice and classy. It's typically a Fall and Winter fragrance, for mainly at night.? I don't know how to describe it's scent. I think lately, I can finally pick out the "violet" note in it. It's the type of scent that a person can definitley picture a man wearing a wool grey suit, like I used to have.
