The combination of caramel with hints of coconut and citrus made me think this would smell more edible than it does. I think it's the musk in it that makes it more perfumey and I was disappointed at first but I really like it now. Great for fall and winter. I haven't tried layering it yet but I think it would be nice with a perfume that's heavy on the patchouli.
Sickly sweet, but only at first

This almost made me sick for the first several minutes (I think it was the floral notes of orange flower and neroli mixed with the coconut) but as the top notes fade, I smell the whipped cream and the other sweet notes.
It is "young," but not so much as to be unwearable. It is quite nice, actually.

Bought this blind based on other reviews. It's fantastic! It lasted 12 hours on me. Put it on before work and could still smell it this evening while I was paddling a river in my kayak. When my body heated up it projected like crazy. Very warm scent...I get vanilla undertones on my skin. I love it.

Smells like warm, sugary caramel. If that's what you're looking for, you could hardly do better. Use sparingly. Good longevity.

This would be nice for a teenager or a young 20 something but not for me. Very sweet, felt like I have been working long hot hours in a bakery when I wore this one!

I would complain that this scent is far too sweet, oozing carmelly sugar, but I guess I should have used common sense and not purchased (blind buy) based on the notes given. I'm going with "sugar bomb" floral on this one, the citrus and coconut are minor players. I also own and occasionally wear Lavanilla Vanilla Coconut, which is far more straightforward--not trying to be everything at once. Will be gifting this Aquolina to a teenager!
