Ferre by Gianfranco Ferre for women

I don't get much sweetness or fruit, just enough to keep the iris from getting too vegetal, and keeping the perfume overall cool rather than cold. Pretty but not girly, discreet but not boring, an elegant, perfectly balanced scent. Decent longevity.

Iris is the star, the queen here! Iris is present in the base, but it's Iris root concentrate which is the flower's most fragrant part and why this perfume really stands out for me!
This scent has both modern and classic elements - rich, warm and nectar-laden. The pineapple and melon, are lightened by Iris leaves. Iris is repeated in the heart, which features Iris petals, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and other great florals. The notes are blended very beautifully, with only the iris, and perhaps magnolia, asserting dominance. Iris appears again in the base, along with basmati rice, amber, sandalwood, vanilla and musk. The base is soft and warm, sweet, but not overwhelming. A sophisticated charming beauty!
