Old
by Jamie on Sep 17, 2017
This is another one that I find smells old on me. Like something my grandmother would wear, if she wasn't a mechanic and actually wore perfume.

8 Year Search
by Joanna on Aug 24, 2017
Have only worn 3 other fragrances in my 60+ years. Chantilly, L'aire du Temp, and Opium. I suppose my body chemistry changed and I so longer liked the Opium. That was 8 years ago and I've been searching for a fragrance all these 8 years. I finally found Hermes eau des Merveilles for women. I love it! To me, it seems a bit mysterious. There is a note that I love but can't quite figure out and so I keep wanting to smell more of the fragrance.

Light and airy
by Leanne on May 18, 2017
This is a beautifully light scent that clings to your skin like magical sweat. I don't get a lot of the specific notes but I do get a salty resinous scent that smells rich without any of the classic perfumey scents. Everyone should try this a least once in the summer.

A Favorite

This perfume is wonderful and unique. I love most Hermes fragrances and this is one of my favorites.

Overrated
by Belea on Feb 23, 2017
I'm still struggling to fathom the hype of this outdated, rotten juice. How this came to the minds of those asked, "What's an extremely sexy, modern fragrance I could pick up?" I have NO CLUE. Must be some sort of viral desensitization of the nose. I cannot attest it to my body chemistry either, since I solely smelt it in the bottle/on paper/in the air. Thanks for nothing, mainstream opinions! Nonetheless, I very much enjoy discovering and testing out fragrances and scents. You win some, you lose some.

High Quality Mainstream Amber
by KE on Feb 15, 2017
While this is a fine perfume, I am not quite as enamored with it as many are. And while this is certainly unusual as perfumes go that are sold in mainstream markets, I cannot say that I think you'd say it's entirely unlike any other perfume if you're familiar with niche markets, as well. All in all it's a high quality fragrance and a very approachable offering among ambers that is also available for popular consumption. Give it a try if you like sweet ambers!

Eau des Merveilles
by Amber on Jul 12, 2016
This perfume is a little too dated for me. It is very beautiful on unique but it does not smell good on my skin at all.

This fragrance is truly a WONDER
by patricia on Jun 7, 2016
I love this fragrance for daytime use. It's youthful, light and fun. Hermes fragrances are always complex, revealing subtle differences as the day unfolds. I recommend this.

Dries down to salty skin
by Cindy on May 10, 2016
This scent starts out slightly (very slightly) masculine because it smells a bit like pine with citrus. Later, the pine goes away and it smells clean and salty...sort of beachy, or like someone's skin. It's pretty inoffensive, but it is a unisex fragrance, so I wouldn't recommend for someone who usually picks very feminine, girlish scents.

Old Fashioned
by Roberta on Apr 2, 2016
This is a rather typical old fashioned scent. I could see my grandmother wearing it to a wedding. Another reviewer mentioned an unusual note of "saltiness," and I noticed that too. Other than that, nothing unique.

Not for me

Way to "woodsy"

Unique
by Alicia on Feb 4, 2016
One of the most original Eaux in the market. A citrusy, spicy amber, with an unexpected salty marine note. There is nothing similar to it, unless you go to the other Merveilles scents. Still, this is the original one,and completely unique.

It's ok

Would not buy a big bottle of this. It smells ok but nothing to brag about. Will save incase I run out of everything else.

Grace Kelly
by Rose on Jan 11, 2016
This definitely says Hermes and I can easily imagine a young Grace Kelly in a white linen shirt, leaning against the yacht mast, one hand shielding her eyes from the bright golden sun of the South Coast of France.
It opens with warm orange and as it dries down definitely has the slight salty edge of amber that makes it a skin scent, and warmer than you'd expect from a summer fragrance. It has a very slightly generic scentiness in a good way - like the drydown of a high-end perfume but it retains a touch of black pepper that lends it a contemporary feel
It's very French in terms of its bourgeois subtle elegance, and at first I found it a little low key in its effect, but this has really grown on me. Quite lovely, more-ish. Though it's taken me a while to come round to buying a full bottle

Not a fan of this. Too much pepper.

Almost OK
by Janelle on Oct 20, 2015
I would love this scent if I were much older. I kind of like this smell, but it does not suit me.
Good quality and lasts a long time.

A very unique smell
by Lynne on May 14, 2015
I usually wear Faubourg 24 which is an absolutely wonderful fragrance and I just love, love, love it! I saw this and thought I'd give it a try because you can't go wrong with Hermes. It is "middle of the road" - not too sweet and not too spicey. I can definitely detect the "peppery" notes in it which makes it that much more mysterious. I've never had a fragrance quite like this. I truly enjoy it because it is very unique and I have yet to smell this fragrance on anyone else. A well kept secret??

Interesting, but not for me
by Nazia on Feb 27, 2015
I like this based on interest factor. It is very unique, and I do find the smell pleasant. But I found myself getting a little tired of it by the whiffs that I got throughout the day. It wasn't something I couldn't get enough of.
It didn't help that my brother told me to please get a different perfume :p but I do like the originality of this one.

Unisex
by Beth on Dec 4, 2014
Not for me, but I gave it to my daughter - who leans towards unisex scents - and it smells great on her.
-
I find this very feminine
by Stephanie on Nov 18, 2014
The way this smells on me is definitely not unisex. It's a nice mixture of floral and citrus, making it fresh and lovely at the same time. It's not like anything else out there - like a fresh out of the shower scent. Love it!

Very nice

One of my top favorite citrus fragrances.

Unisex, elusive
by lls on Mar 3, 2014
Completely unisex. Not at all sweet or floral. Seems to come and go mysteriously, as if you're being haunted by it, rather than wearing it. Cannot make up my mind about this one.
