Dahlia Divin Eau de Toilette by Givenchy for women

It smells like something an older woman in her 70s would wear

This is one of my safe perfumes. Very lovely and completely inoffensive

When I first sprayed this fragrance I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever smelled. Sweet floraly fragrances are my thing. However, if you spray too much it does become a bit cloying after a while. A little goes a long way.

Pleasant, mild, dull. Moderate sillage and longevity. Just perfectly average. Not too sweet, not too floral, not too interesting. The advertising is more appealing than the perfume. I would wear it as opposed to nothing, which is more than I can say for some things.

I received a sample of this scent with an unrelated purchase, and based on the fragrance notes, it is one I never would have chose. Peach, blood orange, vanilla, black currant...all lovely scents, but I do not like them on my body. And patchouli...ugh ick. That leaves some jasmine, rose, and musk...and frankly, I need a light hand with the musk when it comes to fragrances. But somehow Givenchy has managed to make a light fruity/floral scent, out of 80% ingredient scents I would discard, into something that I actually like to wear on occasion. It will never be my everyday scent, but it's not a sample I tried and tossed because I didn't care for it. This one earned its spot in the rotation. It doesn't get a lot of wear, but I do come back to it from time to time.

There's nothing better than an interesting floral. The woods are very nice. The EDP version of this has a spicy smell that doesn't work on me but this doesn't have that spice. Its soft but wow, it lasts just as long as an EDP. This really would work all year long.
