Classic scent that brings me back to high school. This is an enduring winner.
by Matthew on Jun 10, 2018
With its fresh, crisp, sharp scents, Cool Water is quite strong. I would describe it as simple, warm, and very masculine. Top notes include mint and green nuances, lavender, coriander, and rosemary. The heart notes include geranium, neroli, jasmine, and sandalwood. The base is composed of cedarwood, musk, amber, and tobacco. It’s a classic 90s fragrance. It’s a little synthetic and very reminiscent of aftershave. It’s a great scent with decent sillage, but the longevity is poor. For about $30 for 6.7oz, It’s worth a try.
Great fresh & clean scent
by Melissa on May 29, 2018
This cologne reminds me of the year 1995-early 2000. When I was young and life was so easy as it is in your teens and twenty’s. Boys wore this all the time. And now when I smell, it it reminds me of then and makes me smile. It smells wonderful & clean & fresh.
Arrived super fast in a great lil sprayer.
Will order again now knowing that husband likes it too still.
Doesn't seem to last
by Ed on Apr 1, 2018
Loved the smell. What I would call a clean scent. My biggest problem with it it only seemed to last about 3-4 hours and I could no longer smell it, unlike others.

Much better than the womens edp. A great choice.

Better suited for younger men this is a true classic.A refreshing cool scent reminds me of being at the beach.
Pretty generic, not very pleasing
by Eric on Jun 13, 2017
People love this fragrance, it's very popular and can be had for a very cheap price. As someone whos only heard of this fragrance, but never tried it, I decided to buy a vial. After a couple attempts at wearing it, I knew it wasn't for me. I love a good fresh, aquatic smell (Bvlgar Aqua Marine) but this one didn't come close. Starts off very lavendery, and dries down to a green smell. No thanks.
Still enjoy it
by Justin on May 23, 2017
Although there are better choices out there, I'll still reach for this once in a while. Maybe its nostalgia.
by Ando on May 19, 2017
Not bad. Not great. This is a really common scent that lots of women seem to love. I'm not really impressed. It's worth a try but it isn't a really high end scent in my opinion. It's not something you'll be excited to wear. It's common. That's not good or bad.
by Doug on Mar 31, 2017
It's not bad though nothing special either, and it wasn't very strong.
by Ruebennase on Feb 21, 2017
This is THE reference for masculine fresh aromatic aquatics. Pretty safe. Most people will have smelled this at some point in their lives. Personally, I have smelled it too often, so I wouldn't wear it today. If you don't know this one yet, definitely try it out!

The blue clean smell is something that I've always liked about this scent. My only problem with it is, it doesn't last for very long.
Oldie But A Goodie
by Rick on Feb 1, 2017
Snoop Dogg brought me here from the 90's. Always like this one for sentimental reasons and it never gets old even though it's an oldie but a goodie.

I love Davidoff scents...always remind me of summer. This is breezy, light and aquatic.
by Robert on Jun 7, 2016
My girlfriend bought this for me because she loved the scent. I thought it was alright but mainly wore it because she enjoyed it.
An Old School Favorite

Smells good. Projection is good. Longevity is good.
Clean, fresh scent
by MrsPress on May 15, 2016
This is a clean, classy fragrance. I love it when my hubby wears this to bed! Then, this ultra-clean scent becomes a little dirty!!!
The "other" unisex scent of my early teen years
by Betsy on Apr 15, 2016
I just noticed that this dates back from 1988. So in my early teens (early 2000s), it must have been on its way out in terms of popularity. However, a boy I liked at that time, wore this. It smelled good with his chemistry.
I received a free sample of this with another order and, while I haven't worn it, I've sniffed it to let the memories flood back.
I'm surprised at how prominent the lavender is, this time around.
Cool Water is maybe no longer so popular, probably because of how very popular it once was, but it was once groundbreaking and is still iconic. It has been duped so many times, that many people forget that it was among the first of its kind (the very definition of "original").
It is essential, I believe, to be familiar with this scent if one wishes to be knowledgeable about perfumes, either of that era or now.
Great for beginners

This is a classic liked by many. A safe choice if you are new to perfumes and want somethng fresh and inexpensive.
Clean but boring
by Jennifer on Dec 29, 2015
This is a clean, fresh smell but it's overrated. Simple soap like smell
Classic aquatic fragrance
by Sean on Nov 6, 2015
I think this is a little overrated, but it is a nice, clean scent. The opening is a little harsh and very soapy, but it dries down to a fresh, versatile scent.
by Michelle on Apr 25, 2015
This is an okay scent. I never smell this on anyone despite its popularity in the fragrance community. There's a note in there that isn't aquatic and it stands out to me and makes this one special. I do prefer Nautica Voyage though because it smells more natural.
by Colin on Mar 3, 2015
A great crisp marine fragrance to put on when you're not sure what to wear. You can't go wrong with Cool Water. It's not offensive or overpowering and most people are going to like it.
Cool Water is very versatile. You can wear this to the office, the gym, or just lounging around the house. It's a great every day scent.
Soapy but in a good way
by Andrew on Sep 10, 2014
This a quite a nice smell although it has a lot of soapy tones. Great for middle aged guys, not a younger man's scent.
by Erik on Apr 6, 2014
Like most people of my generation (20's), I picked this up on reputation alone.
And although the smell is a little synthetic at first, it does settle down into an aquatic scent with undertones of citrus and spice.
Personally it's a little tame and much to fresh for me to wear on a regular basis, but I can definitely see why this frag has the success it has.
you've smelt the rest...
by Mario on Jan 16, 2014
my entry into perfumes...
it's been copied a millions times, this was one of the first 'quality' fresh, marine smells. spectacular. lemony, spritely, great sillage and good longevity. don't try the flankers, this is the best one...
Have to agree with the other reviewer
by Ricky on Nov 4, 2013
Expected a lot from this, but it just smells really soapy and synthetic :\, like the summer version though!
Not for me
by Dianne on May 15, 2013
I've read other reviews about Cool Water and most are positive..I smelled this on a tester card the other day and immediately recognized the scent...I've smelled it on several of my customers, and to be honest, I do not like the scent at all. Kinda reminds me of bug spray. Sorry to the loyal fans out there...
