One of the softest, most feminine and appealing musks out there. Musk can often be offputting, masculine, or even reminiscent of body odor. For those who are opposed to heavy musk scents, it's a shame that the they'll steer clear of this beauty in general. It's just so.. clean, delicate, soft and inviting. It's sweet, subtle, romantic, and understated. Classy, in the way that the Mona Lisa is - timeless, beautiful for all ages, regardless of fading and changing fashions & style. And that's what this reminds me of - the undeniable beauty of the muses throughout the history of art, the beauties so often celebrated today in our museums - an otherworldly beauty that transcends time and space. That is very high praise for this fragrance, coming from an art geek! The iris, too, is at its most beautiful here - no notes of bitterness or decay here, just otherworldly, incomprehensible beauty - and perhaps the musty smell of books. For good measure.
