  1. "Soapy" aldehydic floral...

by Betsy on Feb 24, 2016

Like another reviewer, I noticed that this is not as hard-hitting as some aldehyde-based fragrances are.
I can't detect any specific notes, other than honeysuckle, and possibly sandalwood. However, all the expected notes are listed: tuberose, carnation, ylang-ylang, oakmoss, narcissus, etc.
I know this genre of perfumes was popular for many decades for a reason; nevertheless, they are not my my favorites. This is one of the better-smelling ones, in my opinion, though.
  2. I like Chloe by Chloe better

by Stephanie on Nov 20, 2014

Apparently the original formula has changed into this one, and it seems most people like the original from the 70s better. If I compare this one to the new one (Chloe by Chloe), I like the new one much better. This one is okay - it's different from the usual sweet vanilla or floral fragrances that are popular right now. Aldehydes aren't overpowering like they often are. I was worried about this being too strong so i sprayed it first on a tissue and then rubbed it on my wrist, so maybe I need to just try to spray it directly on my skin and see if I like it better. I found a bottle so cheap at TJ Maxx that I figured I would try it. I'll give it another try before I give up on it, but so far I don't love it enough to keep it in my collection.
  3. My Most Favorite

by Avenir on Jun 26, 2014

The most wonderful thing about being able to sample so many perfumes at a reasonable cost is that perfume is uniquely different on each person who tries it. Unlike the first reviewer of Chloe Classic, of over 20 perfume samples I bought and tried, Chloe Classic--for me--had a lovely but not overpowering sillage, did not drastically change or fade for over two hours, and got me compliments about smelling wonderful. It was one of my two top favorites. Everyone's chemistry is different.
  4. My least favorite

by Bridgette on Jun 13, 2014

Out of over 50 perfumes I've tried in the past month, this one is the queen of the bottom and my only 1 star review (sorry!!). It smells like offensive, strong, cheap hotel soap to me. I gave it a fair shot, tried it a few times, but not for me! My chemistry doesn't like this one.
I got it because my mom had KL years ago, so I thought that being from Karl it would be decent also. I have a 3ml too, lol. Maybe one of my friends will like it.
