Not for winter, that's for sure
by Banque on Feb 19, 2019
Came on strong green and sharp. Quickly faded to floral and a pretty one. Then faded away to nothing in this cold weather. Kinda disappointed that this is supposedly such an iconic fragrance.

Simply floral, if you’re into that, reminds me of rubbing juices out of flowers exact same scent
I tried to wear this in the 80's...
by Mary on Jun 23, 2018
Not a favorite...Ralph Lauren Lauren or Eau de Givenchy or Ombre Rose were favorites. This turned to cat pee on my skin.

I wore Anais Anais when I was in high school and college, and my wasn't I sophisticated! <lol> It's a very pretty girlish floral, but not overpoweringly sweet. All these years later I'm discovering it's still a delightful light daytime scent. It doesn't last long on me, but then, nothing really does.
A blast from the past.

I first discovered this perfume in the early 80’s and loved it. As time went by I found other perfumes and kind of forgot about this for a while. I recently began looking for another perfume and remembered this one. It’s still a favorite. It starts out strong and as it becomes more mellow it’s a little flowery, but not too overwhelming. I’m an asthmatic and some perfume is to overpowering. This is a nice one that stays well.
Old School Floral
by Hope on May 17, 2017
This has a strong smell of white florals that kind of itched my nose and made me want to sneeze. It smells nice enough, but I think maybe I don't like very many flowery perfumes too much.

Super floral. Its a little boring at first but its very pretty once it settles.

This one always smelled like powdery licorice to me. Very appealing, gentle, and feminine.
The sweetness of lilies from a bygone era
by Stephanie on Jan 22, 2017
This was the first perfume I ever bought when I was thirteen. Getting a sample was like time traveling back to those days. This is a youthful, sweet scent that still enchants.

I was shattered, by the sounds of it I thought that I would love this one, but it smelled like a toilet refreshiner, I don't want to smell like that.
by Jaclyn on Dec 7, 2016
I almost bought this because it sounded clean smelling and so nice, it smelled like a toilet refreshiner, which I don't need.

Loved this since the 80's when I was given a small bottle while in the hospital by another patient. One of my forever faves

Totally LOVE LOVE LOVE this classic perfume! I have been wearing it since I was a teenager. I absolutely love the floral baby powder smell! It's a very comforting and feel good smell! If you haven't tried it yet, I highly suggest you do! You will not be disappointed!

I'm not entirely sure how else to describe it. Unfortunately, it reminds me of very old floral perfumes. Nothing modern about it, but might be worth a sample if you're into the old school floral profiles.

This classic floral is a song to dpringtime. It is the scent of carefree days in a blooming garden. A generation of young women delighted in it when I was a student. We might have gone to other fragrances, but never forgot Anais, and come springtime we return once again to smile under its magic.

This is a very pretty and charming floral. Reminds me of summer. It is a tad dated but I do appreciate iit
A Mysterious Classic

This fragrance is totally unique and hard to define. Just beautiful.
Ultimate fairy perfume
by Rose on Jan 21, 2016
The porcelain bottle with flower design says it all. This is the ultimate innocent pretty, fairy-like floral. It's a bit old fashioned and people of my generation instantly recognise it
A very dewy lily and a deeper bouquet underlying the fresh white florals. It's powdery and actually quite complex, it doesn't say 'elegant' so much as white cotton lace, girly things, muslin curtains in a window overlooking a morning meadow where a white horse shakes its mane in the sunrise. A very 70s vibe of innocence that personally I find slightly creepy!
I'd go for Baiser Vole for this sunlit fresh lily feel, but for those true romantics, Anais Anais is probably perfect. I can imagine the sort of men who'd get excited by the scent and they'd be the type who dream of rescung a delicate maiden and marrying her in a village church, or something like that!
Beautiful flowery fragrance

I wore this year's ago & loved it. Still love it! Such a pretty refreshing scent!
This is a keeper for me.

They don't make them like this anymore. Really a fume of its time.
by Nazia on Mar 1, 2015
I'm not sure why, but when I try this, I don't smell much of anything special. Just something light, musky, slightly sweet, slightly floral - nothing particularly distinguishable. I don't think I could recognize it from many other scents. Maybe I just haven't sprayed it enough or sat with it on long enough? I feel like I should give it another try, it must be a classic for a reason...
Starting wearing this again after years
by Elisabeth on May 8, 2013
I wore this when I was younger and then somehow it got put by the wayside. One day when I was running low on another favorite, I put it on and all day strangers were complimenting me. So, guess what? I started wearing it again - obviously. Plus, our bodies' chemistry changes as we grow older. I remember liking it before, but not this much! I especially like that it's not overwhelming when you put it on, but what's even better is later on when the top note has been enveloped into our skin. That smell is the kind that leaves you smelling your wrists all day and other leaning over to be able to smell you better too!
