It's a very manly scent. Smells like a guy who would wear a good chain, smoke a cigar, and have lots of chest hair. What surprised me is that is also very very sweet. Wear it to make a statement.

Starts sweet and fruity, Tobacco is very subtle in comparison with honey note which is more prominent. Perfect for the winter night and outdoors.
Decent pipe tobacco
by Victor on Jun 5, 2017
The projection on this is exceptionally strong. Mature and masculine, but overbearing in terms of sillage, so I guess this is one for the unapologetic fans of tobacco. I was hoping for something closer to a cigar accord, but the synthetic quality of the sweet notes in this one brings to mind the cheap quality of a cherry-flavor cigarillo instead.
Smells like tea
by Zachary on Mar 4, 2017
IMO this smells like tea but this could surface from the honey ingredients

Pure Havane starts out as a black cherry scent that eventually changes to a creamy caramel scent. This scent is amazing!

Not a true fan of honey, but I love all of the A*Men scents in their own way. This is wonderful regardless.
A*Men's best flanker
by Sean on Oct 10, 2015
This is a perfect winter fragrance. It's main accords are cherry tobacco and vanilla, with a bit of chocolate as it dries down.
Less tobacco than expected

I mostly get a strong honey note out of this one. It's very sweet, and also still has some of the base notes of A*Men in it.
Wild Niche Scent
by Stacia on Apr 12, 2015
I've never smelled anything like this concoction. It's so different, and it's so good, if you like the sweet cigar, vanilla, warm spicy, chocolate, you'll love this. It's not so obvious as to be something you want to eat, you won't be joining the cast of The Walking Dead or anything. It is a sophisticated blend, and wearing this you'd think you just walked out of a cafe one afternoon after playing cards in Cuba. If you love vanilla, give it a try.
Powerful, long lasting tobacco and honey
by Colin on Mar 22, 2015
Tobacco, honey, and vanilla are the main notes in this sweet, spicy, and very masculine scent.
Pure Havane is long lasting and the sillage is quite heavy. For me, this is another great fragrance for cool weather. Definitely not a cologne you would be wearing in the heat of summer.

This is a complex long lasting scent. Projection is a beast, and has one of the best dry down of any fragrance I have ever tried!
by Hoodie on Dec 13, 2014
People say it smells similar to pure malt. I can see hown it is similar later on but the top smells like black licorice to me which I don't like. Not for me.
Kind of like Carmex
by Skilar on Nov 24, 2014
The initial smell I get with this is Carmex. I suppose that could be the cherries, but I swear it is exactly like Carmex. After about ten minutes that turns into more of a tobacco scent. I like it, but I think it is perhaps to mature of a smell for me. Lasts 9+ hours with good projection on my skin.
I love the smell of tobacco.

I read reviews about this fragrance having a tobacco note and that they gave it a good review, so I thought I'de try it. It's a very nice fragrance. I like it. It's sweet and also has the smell of tobacco. "CK one shock" is also sweet and has the tobacco note but the tobacco scent doesn't come thru til later on in the drydown. This one has the tobacco scent from the very beginning. The very end of the drydown is when it fades out and then some other notes come thru, and the sweetness is gone at that time too. This would be a nice fragrance to wear during the Fall and Winter. I'll have to make a choice between this one plus a few others as far as what I get for the Fall and Winter since I like this one so well.! :)

A sweet honey/cherry/vanilla flavored tobacco cigar. If you've never wrapped your lips around one, you just wont understand the appeal.
by Luke on Jun 16, 2014
Cherries strong up top, drying down to coffee, tobacco and slight honey all on top of smooth vanilla. I personally love it, but could see where it may not be some's cup of tea.
it's okay enough...
by Mario on Apr 7, 2014
tobacco, honey and vanilla has been done to death. this one is good enough, but not like 'chergui' or 'volutes'. good enough for the price...
O, those incredible notes!
by Heather on Mar 8, 2014
I feel I must add another review regarding A*Men Pure Havane's notes and the pure sense of this perfume:
A*Men Pure Havane is the sweetest and most versatile in the A*Men collection - a warming blend of notes that work all year long, day and night, at work, casually, and/or in a formal setting. Unlike Pure Leather, Pure Malt, and Pure Coffee, the A*Men backbone is not as obvious in Pure Havane. It seems to be it's own personality! The impression of this fragrance is governed primarily by tobacco from top-to-bottom along with supportive assistance from sweet accords.
Pure Havane beautifully blends honey and tobacco in the top. As it warms down, the honey fades, but only to be smoothly replaced by delicious notes of amber and vanilla. While the tobacco provides the strength and masculine touch, the other notes add a seductive and gourmand aspect to it! Sheer heaven for me!!
Spotlight's on tobacco and vanilla!!
by Heather on Mar 8, 2014
This frag is absolutely fabulous! I've been looking for a 'tobacco' scent for a while, and now my search is over!!
While not as bold or daring as A*Men or its flankers, Pure Havane is probably the most universally pleasing scent out of the line (I sense it might be second to Pure Malt - have yet to do a proper skin test, though.) I opt for this particular one more often than any of the other A*Men fragrances, because it's unique, super attractive, and not overbearing. Kudos to Monsieur Mugler for accomplishing a 'tobacco-based' perfume that appeals to everyone! I personally love it, and will be making another purchase very soon!
