I smell flowers and spices, and elegant Victorian brass wall sconces with their candles burning low at midnight. It is dark but not cold. A man gave his lover a dozen huge, red roses.
The scent is nearly overpowering, as are their emotions on this night. It is as smooth as the satin sheets she sat on, as he got down on one knee and produced a small velvet box.
It is as sparkling as the diamond solitaire that she found upon opening it.
And it is as soft as her voice as, with tears of joy, she whispered, "Yes."

I really wanted to like this perfume - the description and reviews (on this and other sites) make it sound so good. But to me it smelt very unpleasant - dirty and sweaty, sexy but not in a good way!

This is a nice, classic fragrance. Subdued seduction. Sexy in a ladylike way. Good stuff, stays on my list!

Strangely light and non-descript. I expected a powerhouse and got something that disappeared the moment it touched my skin. A wisp of spicy rose is all I got.

I wish I saw in this perfume what the others reviewers do. For me it was bitter and unpleasant. Decidedly not sexy. Perhaps it is just too far from the type of scents I love for me to appreciate it.

Great scent! Head turning scent that doesn't give you a headache. Slight spicy undertone keep this from being cloying. Love it!

Agent Provocateur comes on with roses, yes, but old fashioned, headily fragrant roses that have lingered a bit too long in an old but still respectable pleasure palace in New Orleans, perhaps, or Paris. There is an underpinning of carnality and musk that combine to make one of the MOST seductive scents on the market. It is the kind of scent that, when smelled on the street, makes your head turn and your nose raise, sniffing the air, trying to identify its source. People always want to smell more of it, and draw closer when you wear it without realizing it. Roses, a little white floral, muskiness... a bit of spice flirts with the nose to keep this from being too cloying... a MUST try for every woman that makes her stand out in the memory.

This is a great perfume. So classic and sexy !
