How many calories are in this fragrance, anyway? =P

I kept getting suggestions to try the Lavanila Laboratories line - So, I got a few samples and gave it a whirl. Vanilla Coconut is very, very pretty - subtle florals nearly lost in a swirl of vanilla coconutty goodness. However, there is one downfall for me - it's far too sweet, and far too strong. It could be that I recently gave up sugar - but my senses just couldn't handle the syrupy sweetness. How many calories are in this fragrance, anyway? Jokes aside - If you love gourmands, definitely try this one out. If some gourmands are too sweet for you, like they are for me, it might be best to either avoid this one, use is sparingly or for layering.

I don't get much coconut, just as the other reviewers mentioned, but I still enjoy this one. It is sweet and warm, but never cloying. It really is a very comforting fragrance, filling one with peace. I think it would work well both in winter and in summer. In the middle notes there is something sharp and spicy that I cannot identify, but whatever it is, it is intoxicating. That slight spiciness really makes this fragrance unique for me.
Nice warm vanilla

So this is a nice sugary warm vanilla but that is about it. I don't smell any coconut. Good sillage and longevity on my skin though, hence the four star review. My husband says I smell good wearing it too.
No coconut !

I was REALLY hoping for more coconut in this perfume. It's a very warm and solid vanilla, which is nice. But just not what I was hoping for.
I can smell coconut...

It's a nice blend of vanilla and coconut, very warm and buttery-sweet. Not overpowering, but I only use a tiny dab on my skin anyway.
Warm and deep vanilla

I didn't smell the coconut, but the vanilla is deep and surrounded by a warmth I can't put my finger on. Very nice, rich scent.

More vanilla than coconut

I didn't get coconut out of this one. Rather, I spent about two hours smelling like a sugar cookie--perfect for our attendance at a Girl Scouts meeting. The vanilla aroma was authentic to me.
