More Cedar Than Oud
by Brian on Feb 18, 2016
Despite the fact that this has much more cedar than oud, it is still a very pleasing fragrance. I get cedar, perhaps a touch of oud, slight pink pepper, and sandalwood. This is one I would actually consider purchasing depending on further testing and the price. Well worth a test as this has to be among my top 3 of Creeds I have tried.

Its just too spicy and masculine to be called a womans scent at all.
Royal Oud is Royalty
by Earnest on Nov 7, 2015
This my first Creed sample and I absolutely love this fragrance. It starts out warm and spicy calms down to a woody musk scent. The notes are blended to perfection and perfect for fall/winter. This is certainly a professional (older) gentleman's fragrance. I am treating myself to a bottle this Christmas.

it smells good, and i canNOT fault that at all, but it just smells like SO MANY of the 'oud' scents out there.
not all that original. i feel like i've smelt this one before. still nice, though...
Try before you buy

Royal Oud is a warm masculine fragrance. The scent opens with citrus and pepper but is dominated by cedar, sandalwood, musk, and oud.
This is a cologne for Winter or Fall and is very long lasting with average sillage.
Most people will like this fragrance but for the price of a bottle, you should sample it first.
FOR A MAN

It smelled good, but it should NOT say for Women & Men. It is DEFINITELY NOT 4 A WOMAN IT'S FOR MEN!!!
Complicated, But Incredibly Natural
by James on Aug 11, 2014
This is not a cologne for going out to nightclub, nor going out to dinner for the first time with a beautiful woman. This is a cologne that should definitely be worn by a sophisticated gentleman in a professional environment.
I have never smelled any oud before, and I'm not sure what other oud fragrances might smell like; but, this one is incredible. I get how some people might say that it is medicinal, but it is also slightly floral, and even a bit sweet.
I've heard it said by some that this scent is not one that is 'unisex', but I have to completely disagree. This is a fragrance that dances back and forth between masculine and feminine in a way that is very unique.
This is not a scent for everyone, but I'm definitely enjoying it. I would encourage anyone who enjoys other Creed fragrances such as Aventus to give this a shot, but it is completely different. If you enjoy the unique, precious, and fragile things in life...I'd definitely give Royal Oud a shot!

I love Creed, an at 1st I thought this one is not for me. But after I put it on an the day went on. I really started to like it, the spicy musky scent just endulges you.
Pipe tobacco or "Old Europe"?
by Jeffrey on Dec 3, 2013
After reading reviews on the other Creed scents I thought I'de give this a try first cause I wanted to see what something with "oud" smells like. I almost was a little skeptical or uncertain on this fragrance but the more I try it the more I like it. It is kind of strong at first, and it's very aromatic. It so much reminds me of my uncle that used to smoke a pipe and also my teacher in grade school. I love the smell of aromatic pipe tobacco. This has no tobacco notes in it,but it really smells alot like pipe tobacco. It's the wood notes that do it. Also it reminds me of or evokes an atmosphere like of the "Old World" or Old ancient Europe". I know this is unisex cologne but I believe it's talored more for men to wear than women. Even though this brand is expensive I highly recommend to guys to at least try a sample first. This may not be for college age or younger guys to like because of the type of scent it is.
