Fun and different

This comes out strong like a man’s cologne. Within mere minutes it goes into this warm, spicy, sweet direction…. like gingerbread or some kind of cookie. There’s something a little light and bright in there but I can’t pinpoint it because it is wrapped in this heavy, sweet cookie cloud… probably the strawberry… it’s low key. I definitely get vanilla, musk, chocolate, coffee and spice. If anyone remembers Soft Musk by Avon, I get that kind of feel, but I could not wear Soft Musk and always thought it went a little “puppy-doggish”. Not a musk fan. This is the sweeter, coffee-drinking sister that Soft Musk always wanted to be. Not boring, very indulgent.
It has a very soft feel. I don’t get much of the fruit notes unless I look for them, and I don’t get many flowers, but they’re there. First impression was a very sweet, fuzzy, lightly spiced coffee vibe on dry down. You may start picking up on the other type of notes once you start looking for them. It’s nice. Worth a try for the price. . . and definitely something different. Very comforting, bedtime scent. More comforting than sexy, but sensual enough to not be obnoxious. Still romantic and good for dates. I’d buy a bottle, but this wouldn’t be an every day thing.
As foodish as it seems, it does not go sickly and is not as overtly gourmand as I may make it sound. This is because the musk is pretty much taking the wheel while not being overwhelming. I’m not a huge fan of musk unless it is done right, and this is a real fun take. Keep in mind though, musk is in the base. There is a definite trail of musk. . . and animalic really doesn’t jive with a lot of people. I am usually very put off by anything animalic. So, those being highly put off by animalic scents may want to steer clear. I like it. A real fun stand out in the batch of my samples, but then again... I'm a HUGE coffee fan so this was bound to be something I'd take notice of.
Second time lucky

I purchased a small sample of this as i love chocolate notes. I sprayed it for the first time and ended up washing it off. I put the bottle away and then just stumbled across it again the other day, and as I had nothing planned I thought what the hell. I sprayed it and was still a little bit unsure at the start but I sat it out and the fragrance turns quite nice after that initial blast. I'm not sure what the blast is at the start though maybe the plum? maybe the ginger? whatever it is it's a bit nasty. But then it turns lovely.

So warm, comfortable, and yummy.

You can definitely smell the cacao and amber, but that is about all I smell. I don't get strawberries at all, which is very disappointing. It isn't a bad smell though if you want a simple sweet smell. Don't expect it to last long though.

This was just like the rest of the range, boring and bland and cheep.

nothing at all special, sweet and painful and bland at the same time

...about sums it up. Even though I find chocolate and cacao notes interesting, this was fairly one-dimensional and boring. It was weak and it was, as another reviewer put it, wimpy.
I thought it would bear at least a faint resemblance to the amazing Reb'l Fleur, given the similar names. But, alas, they do not. This is the most "celebrity" of the ones of Rihanna's scents I've smelled.

Rebelle is a well rounded soft gourmand that is not overly sweet and would make the perfect starting point for anybody wanting to venture out into gourmands on a light footing and would be great for any gourmand lover who needs at times a bit of a reprieve from the heavy artillary. It has better longevity when worn on clothes than on skin.
Smell doesn't last long

I enjoyed the smell but the dry down was a wimpy vanilla, boring.
