Wife loves it. I constantly get asked what I'm wearing. It's not too sweet for me, gets calmed down with the coffee notes.

Sweet but very masculine

This is likely my most complimented fragrance. It's stronger than Polo Red and lasts longer! A smart purchase!
One of the best

This is my wife's favorite scent! We both love it!
Polo Red Intense
by Kevin on Jun 7, 2016
This is a very vivid and powerful scent. The notes are so incredible, and the overall essence has the same effect as the original Polo Red. It's a very passionate and romantic scent, that can be sure to get your heart racing if you're new to it.
Polo Red Intense itself has a little more heartthrob to it—if I may put a word on it. To describe this, the top notes kind of powerfully beat out from the base in the rhythm of a heartbeat. The effect of this is really divine—there's no other way to explain it—and it makes Polo Red Intense a really exciting cologne to wear.
The essence of Polo Red Intense is so good, you could probably wear this anywhere (from casual, to business, to formal) and not even care if you're out of place or not.
It could also easily be a unisex scent by force of will. This is the kind of fragrance that women go crazy over, so I can only image them spraying it all over themselves, and their room to set the mood.
Despite all its power, Polo Red Intense does have one significant weakness to it. There is this drydown point later in the wear, where the scent suddenly gets pretty faint.
This could be an illusion where the sense of smell simply becomes accustom to certain notes, so that they seemingly vanish to us, yet truly remain in-tact beyond our own sense of smell.
I haven't had the opportunity to ask anyone, so just be aware to check this for yourself before you carelessly take it with you to just spray on more later.

Red Intense is amazing! Very strong body. I get asked all the time what I'm wearing and the ladies love it!

I really like this fragrance. You definitely get a sweet cranberry but it's smoothed out by the coffee. I get a spicy lavender on my skin which I think is great. I think that this fragrance is actually up for an award. Not surprising this fragrance is great. It lasts all day and you can smell it a mile away. LOL

This smells great in the Texas heat. Refreshing cranberry tides you over until you can get that drink after work.
way too sweet

If you think Red is too sweet, than stay clear of this one.

Intense is correct. As other reviewers have mentioned it is very sweet. Too sweet for my tastes. This is a night time scent. It is just too strong for everyday wear. It may be bearable as it fights for attention in a loud smoky bar. It's weird that so many people like this fragrance. It's kind of retro to me. Smells kind of geriatric to me.

The two best Ralph Lauren scents are Polo Sport (which I wear during the day), and Polo Red Intense (which I wear at night).
Best RL cologne yet

Wow. I've always liked Polo Sport and was my favorite Ralph Lauren cologne for a long time, but now this one has taken over.

The opening burst is awesome! Cranberry blast that is just so mmm. The drydown is great, too, has a quality that makes you just keep sniffing. Keeps hints of the cranberry all the way to the drydown. Yummy!
Try it if you like cranberry
by Colin on May 30, 2015
I really love this fragrance. The opening cranberry note is awesome. It's sweet but not too sweet. I also like the coffee and amber in the dry down.
You could probably get away with this at any time of the year as long as you don't over spray in the summer or warm weather.
The longevity and projection were both average to above average on my skin.
