Starts off smelling like blackcurrant sweeties/candies
Then, about half an hour into development it becomes warmer, slightly less sweet and rather pleasant. I can now imagine this worn on a snowy winter's day while wearing crimson velvet. In that setting it could be quite romantic, very pleasant. Though there's still something a bit blackberry chewitt, or wine-gum about it (sweets familiar to UK folks!), maybe even cough medicine or throat pastilles
I can see why Mure et Musc has always been popular, it has prettiness and charm

Th name describes the fragrance perfectly. These are fresh berries enveloped in musk. There is a type of musk, very likely the one used here, which naturally has the scent of berries. The longevity is moderate, so after 4 hours or so, you just applied this delightful perfume again.

I like to wear this in the morning as soon as I step out of the shower! I rush to dry off, so I can get on with my scent!!
I absolutely love the fresh, clean opening, which is quite lemony and aromatic! In about ten mins, this aroma disappears and leaves you with a light, well-balanced, juicy blackberry and musk, which is super delicious and very long lasting!
The sillage could be better, but the fragrance makes up for that - simply apply more!!!

Fruit and citrus notes. A safe scent.

So odd, but this smells just like Irish Spring soap to me at first. And then it smells just like Irish Spring soap, with added blackberry. Very strange. Since I can get a similar effect by showering, I wouldn't consider buying this fragrance. It is nice as a tutorial for what Irish Spring actually smells like, which I never considered before - it smells like citrus and basil, plus musk. Who knew?
Nauseating, on me

I like the other scents I've tried from L'Artisan Parfumeur. Even though I'm not crazy about musk, I thought this would be an interesting scent to try.
From the description, it looked like there would be enough other notes present (blackberry, blueberry, basi, citruses, oakmoss, etc.), to complement the musk, and that this might be a pleasing, sultry, scent.
Not so. Just powerful, overwhelming musk. I did detect something else behind the musk, but the musk was so strong, that I couldn't identify what that "something else" could have been.
I wore it for a couple hours, hoping time would mellow the pungence. It didn't. I had to wash it off.
I have purchased the "extreme" as well, but am nervous to try it.
I am planning to give this sample to my mom, as she likes musk scents. To be fair, they smell better on her, with her chemistry, than they do on me.
If you like a heavy, powerfully musky, aroma, then this might be the scent for you. Just be informed before buying.

It's well-constructed but the musk is waaay too strong! Try before you buy!

It's certainly accurately named--I get light, musky blackberry, or more precisely, blackberryish musk. Lasts about 4 hours. Very pleasant. I haven't tried the "Extreme" version to see how they compare, but would like to.
