Licorice And Violets
by Gail on Jan 11, 2017
Whimsical licorice and violets. A unique combo. Very enticing.
Very sweet - okay for the younger crowd
by Stephanie on Dec 17, 2016
This is very sweet - it would be nice for the younger crowd. If you're used to more complex, sophisticated, light, or fresh and clean type scents, you won't like this much. I gave my sample to my teenage daughter, though it may not even suit her. She's not really the "sweet" type.

While I love this scent, very licorice like, I do admit it is VERY strong. You really have to go light when you spray it or it can be overwhelming.
by Rai on Oct 20, 2016
I don't know if it's just my skin chemistry but when I spray it directly on my skin, it ends up being too spicy - like a mix of very sweet candies and overwhelming spice. Probably not good to blind buy, so thank goodness for samples! It's got good longevity though, made it quite hard for me to get rid of the scent when I tried to scrub it off.

At first this reminded me of a scented rubber eraser that was everywhere in elementary school. Like artificial green apple and cotton candy. Very weird smell. It does get better, but still not a perfume I would enjoy on me; far too sweet. But it would be good for someone else, just not for me to wear.
Good for her, not for me
by Jessica on Jun 9, 2016
A coworker was wearing this and she smelled amazing. I asked her what it was, and immediately ordered some for myself. Perfect example of how fragrances work with some peoples chemistry and not others. This smelled terrible on me. The anise was really overwhelming on me and after it dried down there was a really unpleasant chemical smell. I ended up giving the bottle to my coworker, who used it, and it smelled perfectly amazing on her again. This one just wasn't for me.

I really enjoy this perfume. It makes me smile every time I smell it. This is one of a kind and I've found nothing like it.
Enchantment in a bottle
by michelle on Jun 8, 2016
This is unlike anything I've ever smelled before. Vanilla and licorice and violets and occasionally I'll get the tiniest hint of dirt. I love it! Like being in a fairy tale.

I'm not a licorice fan but I don't pick up any of those notes. Its sweet and fruity. Wish itnwould last longer!
by MrsPress on Feb 27, 2016
This is a fragrance that needs skin and body heat to really smell good. Unless you really only want the licorice note (and something medicinal, not sure what) to stand out do not spray this on your clothes. As long as you spray on your skin it is quite lovely and somewhat intriguing. It changes constantly on the skin which I like. Projection is decent and it has good longevity. This is one of my favorites at the moment.
Smells Nice, But Too Weak
by Nazia on Oct 18, 2015
When I first inhaled this scent, I was almost in love, it is so lightly and uniquely sweet, somewhat foresty, and there are so many lovely layers. I realize that I have smelled a couple of scents that were probably modeled off of this one. It truly feels magical, unlike many other foresty scents. However, it just does not last. I can't smell it an hour after I put it on, and I really don't like that. I think I will try the stronger versions next...

I don't what happened, maybe I just got a bad batch or a mix up of something. I had smelled this a long time ago and liked it..but this, I don't know what this was but it was not perfume it was like they put Rubbing alcohol and liquid burnt plastic in a bottle. It was horrible :(
Good if you like licorice
by Colin on Apr 30, 2015
If you like licorice, you'll love Lolita Lempicka. Personally, I'm not very fond of licorice but what really kills this fragrance for me is the violet note.
If you like this one, it could be worn year round of not over-sprayed in the heat but it's really suited to cooler months.
Another scent I wanted to like, but couldn't.
by Ailia on Mar 3, 2015
This is a good perfume. It does not smell cheap at all.
The unique notes give it a fragrance I haven't encountered before, and that is one of the reasons I wanted to like it.
It started off a bit strongly, with bitter, musky, powdery notes.
Then it fades into being subtly sweet, and spicy. The licorice / anise scent is definitely noticeable, but gets evened out with soft powdery florals, vanilla and a hint of earth.
Lolita Lempicka is a wonderfully unusual sensory experience, but it might just be a little to mysterious for me.

I really want to like this one but even after it mellowed out I still couldn't get rid of the gas smell. It smells very edible and sweet but then ends on a gas note. Like the kind that your stove uses. I keep getting whiffs of it and feeling anxiety like I left the oven or a burner on. Dislike.
My First Lolita Love
by Beth on Jan 7, 2015
This is the one that made me fall in love with Lolita Lempicka in the first place. It's mysterious and enchanting. I imagine pixies just like the other reviewer. Can't say enough good things about this fragrance. Love.
After scent is nice
by Bridgette on Jun 13, 2014
At first smell I felt like it was a bit nursing home. But after it sits on skin for a while it's nice. But nothing too special.

This would be the female version of Fahrenheit. It's a scent that is hard to describe. Very unique. Very warm and sensual.

Its light and refreshing while still being sweet. You can wear it all day and not get tired of it.
A heady mix of fabulousness
by Li on Feb 22, 2014
A warm balance of many different notes, this scent rests on your body in a wave of subtle, smoky, confidence. It's the fragrance version of your boyfriend's comfy sweater that you 'borrowed.' Some of the ingredients could have been borrowed from his favorite cologne. Its staying power could be better, but late in the day, there is still a faint, mysterious hint of it remaining. Absolutely charming!
Smells Like Pixie Dust
by Salome on Feb 18, 2014
This fragrance is definitely enchanted. It's sweet and innocent but somehow still dark and mysterious. Sugar, spice and everything nice. A modern classic.
Dry down is very faint

good to wear at work or during the day... bought this one on accident (meant to by L by Lolita).
Magic in a bottle
by Ashley on May 31, 2013
I was so apprehensive about trying this one, because I hate overly musky scents and I'm not a big licorice fan. I'm happy to report that it was love at first sniff! Lolita Lempicka is a magical, sweet, powdery scent at first; To me, it completely lives up to the whimsy of that gorgeous bottle. It smells like baby powder and delicious, delicious candy (yet it's not juvenile in the least; quite the contrary, it somehow manages to exude sophistication.) The licorice is noticeably there, but it's not obnoxious at all. I agree with MsGoody2shoe, in that the vanilla is probably responsible for balancing everything out. The musk becomes more noticeable on the dry down, but it's mixed in with the powdery notes well enough that it doesn't interfere with what I love about this scent. Everything together forms a scent that is actually quite feminine and heavenly! I tried this on before my shower and now I keep finding things to do around the house to procrastinate, just so I can smell it longer without wasting another spritz from my tester bottle!
That said: my fiancee detests it. He says that it smells exclusively like baby powder and that "it's not attractive at all." Color me crushed. This is definitely a different scent (one of the many things I love about it), so I understand that it's not everyone. I could even see with the musk how some may find it a bit matronly. I keep getting whiffs of it as I type, though, and I think it's just so lovely. I think I may just buy a bottle anyway. I'll just wear it on nights out with the girls.
