Just not for me
by Denette on Feb 17, 2017
I think that Lancome does gourmands very well, but I just don't care for this one. The projection and longevity are both excellent, but I don't want to smell like this all day long. It smells almost identical to Flowebomb on me, and that is not a good thing. For a good praline fragrance, give La Nuit Tresor a try...it's much better.
Maybe it's just me...
by Mary Carole on Feb 17, 2017
I was so looking forward to this one as the notes listed made me think I would love it but unfortunately it wasn't at all what I had hoped for. Maybe it's just me...pheromones are a funny thing. It started off with this weird, artificial scent that turned into super strong sour baby powder.
Sweet, But Not In a Good Way
by KE on Feb 14, 2017
Unfortunately, this one was not good on me. It was almost sickly sweet, and on my skin was lacking in complexity. It seemed like many others on the market, without adding anything particularly new or interesting to the mix of notes. A very gourmand patchouli fragrance.

Just another typical, expected scent. Smells like a lot of other things out there. For a perfume to get my money, it needs to be unique and make me say wow and this did neither.
by Rebecca on Jul 11, 2016
This is one of my favorite scents. But just a warning: it's very sweet and very strong. It's also pretty powdery in my opinion. It's really strong at first, but once it dries down it's my favorite sweet smell and it lasts all day easily.
A beautiful vanilla!
by michelle on Jun 10, 2016
Another beautiful vanilla fragrance! There are a lot out there but my skin loves vanilla so I'm not complaining. I especially love vanilla paired with patchouli. It seems to give sweet perfumes depth.
La Vie Est Belle.

This perfume is delicious. The caramel is very pronounced on my skin. I get stopped constantly hhen wearing this perfume.

Wow, just wow! The perfume is beautiful when applied in micro doses. That's when you get a bright, feminine and happy fragrance that will stay with you forever. I sprayed the lining of my bag several weeks ago and I'm still getting whiffs of LVEB.

I get a lot of praline iin this. The patchouli iis very nice. If it was just a tad sweeter, I would hate it. Definitely hits my limit on sweetness.

Apologies to lovers of this perfume but I reckon within a few years it's going to seem very dated. It follows on from the 'Angel' trend, with a sweet fudge note paired with patchouli. That trend began in the late 80s and I wish they'd change the record.
Sorry to be critical, but I suppose my review gives an alternative view as loads of people love this perfume, and the sweet notes are flirty etc. I can't see Julia Roberts wearing this, it lacks elegance, I find it sludgy, but in her 'Pretty Woman' role yes, this would be perfect!
Nice, but Uninteresting
by Nazia on Feb 21, 2015
This is pleasant throughout, but reminds me a lot of popular celebrity fragrances (like Katy Perry's Killer Queen.) Maybe they were copied from this one, but I wouldn't use this too often for fear of smelling just like everyone else.
My new favorite Lancome
by Brenda on Jan 23, 2015
This has become my new favorite Lancome fragrance and I'm not really sure why. On me, it is complex, powdery, and just a little bit mystical. Good for fantasy outings.
not bad but not good either
by Stephanie on Nov 14, 2014
Just an average blah from me. Nothing special. Won't use it again - there's others that are much better.
Starts off nice

I like the fruitiness of this scent, the pralines and vanlla but the dry down is not for me. Very powdery. The staying power is fantastic though. A Little goes a long way
I go back and forth!!!
by Adrienne on May 20, 2014
I enjoy the first stage but the dry done does not compel me. I figured out I am not crazy about the patchouli.
by Annie on May 8, 2014
I had fall in love with this scent at first sniff. It is my favourite, the praline and vanilla note are strong on my body chemistry. The longevity is amazing too
by lls on Mar 3, 2014
The popularity of this perfume mystifies me, as does the fact that it has all the elements of other popular perfumes of the moment (fruit, sugar, patchouli), yet somehow combines them in a really off-putting way. Perhaps it comes down to skin chemistry, but on me this is almost fascinating in its awfulness.

I absolutely love this scent. It lasts for hours. It is sweet but not unnoticeable. It is an amazing fragrance
by Jennifer on Sep 7, 2013
For the first time in 10 years, I've picked a new favorite scent. The vanilla is balanced perfectly with the florals and there is something else in this scent that is different. I haven't figured out what it is yet. This one is strong but not to strong so a little goes a long way and it can be worn for day or night. It's a tiny bit sweet with a lot of Sophistication. I get so many compliments when I wear it.
Sweet & a bit Strange!
by Heather on Aug 18, 2013
Upon 1st spritz, this scent has very strong fruits bursting at you. I absolutely detect something strange, but cannot determine what it is. Anyway, this doesn't last long, and then I arrive at the heart which is fruity-flowery. This moment is lovely and lasts for a long time. In the dry-down, I now detect super, overwhelming Tonka bean and vanilla, but not too much patchouli - just enough. It's really quite pleasant, though, and stays close to my skin. Some people say it's really strong, but I don't get that feeling at all. So, to sum it up, it's a pleasant fragrance, but not one I just have to have in my perfume collection.
