It Was Acceptable In The 90's
by Rick on Feb 15, 2017
I had a strange infatuation with this one back in the 90's. It was my favorite for a brief time then I kind of forgot all about it. It was definitely great at the time.
Leather front and center
by Kyle on Feb 12, 2017
I get a heavy leather right up front from this. I'm admittedly not a big leather fan, and this is like being smothered by a leather jacket owned by someone who works at a gas station. Not in a bad way however. After an hour or so that started to dry down to a nice leathery wood which is quite pleasant.
This changed my life...
by Sunny Side on Jan 12, 2017
So then why did I give it 3 stars? In my opinion the scent is weird. When I first tried it I just thought of the Home Depot. Or a tire. And I can definitely see the motor oil comparison others made. Still that goes away after a while and there is a pleasant sweet smell to it. Still gives me a headache. Overall I think it smells bad...
But this is the first fragrance that made me realize that scents can tell a story. Not like you close your eyes and remember your childhood or imagine yourself in a different time period. But literally tell a STORY. The fragrance really evolves with time. It whispers to you and I enjoyed listening to it. You definitely have to have the right personality to match this fragrance. Maybe a middle aged guy with enough life experience and direction in his life. Fahrenheit is sophisticated yet simple, manly yet gentle. It grew on me the more I wore it, but not enough.
Overall, a good scent for some, not for others.
You just stand right there while I sniff you....
by Michal on Dec 12, 2016
This cologne gives me goosebumps... As a 32 year old woman I'm not sure which category I fit into anymore (old lady or young lady) but I've loved this cologne since my early 20's when I first smelt it. It smells like a man who knows what he's doing. It's intoxicating in all the right ways... DELICIOUS!
by Steve on Oct 26, 2016
Classic; not for everyone. An older scent but distinguished.
by Michael on Jun 27, 2016
Such a classic scent. Completely masculine.
by Kevin on Jun 6, 2016
This is a scent that strongly lives up to its name. The essence is very warm and captivating. It's one of only scents I've ever experienced that actually grows on you. Meaning, the longer you wear this scent, the more in-tuned you become with it.
The notes are very warm, and not spicy, but smooth and bold instead. The after-effects are also very lovely, and will keep you satisfied all day long. I like wearing this in the heat to match the atmosphere, and that's personally where I think it does best, but that could also have something to do with the fact that this is more of a casual scent than anything else.
At most, it's a business casual scent, but Fahrenheit definitely too vulgar for the formal scene, so I wouldn't recommend wearing it anywhere too fancy.
Given that this is an older scent, there is also somewhat of a vintage essence to it (circa Macys 1984) yet this tends to get entirely overshadowed once you actually put it on, so don't be alarmed by that.

I could have sworn I had already left a review for this but I don't see it so here it goes. This is by far the WORST cologne I've ever smelled. It smells like shoe polish mixed with old leather boots. Its masculine but in a "been working on a car all day" way. Its definitely unique but different doesn't always mean better.
by Derek on May 12, 2016
this isnt for the faint of heart. it is strong. beastly. but i love it. some people say it smell like motor oil or gas but i happen to like that aspect. i grew up around cars and love the smell of motor oil and cars. i think this is another fragrance that you cant really pick one note out. the all blend really well. but this is no doubt one of those love or hate fragrances and it seams to lean more towards the hate.
Too strong again
by ASHLEY on Jan 11, 2016
Not a fan of the leather notes. Smells too masculine for me. Also a very strong scent.
by GRGeep on Nov 9, 2015
I was 30 years old when this came out and I smelled it on a friend. It was interesting enough for me to ask what it was and buy a bottle for myself. I ended up not using it a lot because there were so many others I liked better, but it is unique. It is fairly strong and edgy like Polo, so you better try a small sample before committing to a large bottle. It is certainly not for everyone, but can be quite appealing and masculine on some.
Nice and different
by Robert on Aug 5, 2015
Its different than what I normally wear. I usually prefer a sweeter smell but this one is different and very nice. My good-looking, older-than-me boss would flirt with me and try to hang around me more when I wore it. She always complemented on how good it smells.
by Moomoos on Apr 19, 2015
the leather is epic in this one.
only some people can pull this off, and only on some days in some types of situations.
it's a big scent...
by Nazia on Apr 2, 2015
This is the equivalent of being hit over the head by a perfumed sledgehammer. It's SO sharp, SO masculine, SO everything all at once, I just can't really handle the first 30 minutes of this scent. It doesn't really smell like gasoline to me, though, maybe I didn't put on enough.
After that it's a fairly tame leather. Thank goodness.
There is an Absolute version of this?!?!
Hate, hate, hate this scent
by Colin on Feb 28, 2015
I hate this fragrance. All that I smell is gasoline.
Most people who smell Fahrenheit acknowledge the gasoline scent but will say it smells like gasoline but in a good way? Huh? What is good about smelling like gasoline? To me, it's like saying that something smells like a rotting corpse... but in a good way.
I know Fahrenheit is popular and many women love it but how anyone can like this is a mystery to me. Maybe they grew up with fathers who were mechanics or worked at gas stations. I don't know how to explain anyone liking this scent. To me, it's repulsive.
Smells Like a MANLY Man!
by Danielle on Jan 20, 2015
You can practically smell the sweat and axle grease on the guy wearing this. It's surprising and EXCELLENT in every way. My husband and I were on a cruise for our anniversary, and a sweet, feisty old man we'd sat at dinner with earlier that week found us in the perfume shop and muttered, "Hey, check out 'Fahrenheit.'" We both held back giggles as he walked away, thinking it was cute of him to make any suggestion at all. I opened the bottle and expected aftershave or Irish Spring, but what I got was lady-catnip! We ran into the man later that day and thanked him profusely!
A True Man's Frangrance
by Sean on Aug 3, 2014
As the title suggests, this is a man's fragrance and with good reasons. I can't put this in any category of colognes for men, it is not aquatic, fruity, or gourmand. The closest thing to this stuff would be Thierry Muglers Pure Leather. It has a leathery and motor oil scent, I know it sounds weird, but it smells freaking good! It is for the masculine type of man, but it can also be worn by everybody in between. All manly men should have this and Thierry Mugler's Pure Leather in their arsenal, no doubt.
Nothing but leather
by Bridgette on Jun 28, 2014
I used to LOVE this cologne. I guess they changed it? I got some for my husband to try, and though it smells great in the bottle, on him all we can smell is leather, nothing more. Bummer. We'll try on just clothes and see if that helps. Maybe it's just his chemistry..
My favorite cologne of all time
by Carrie on May 24, 2014
I have no idea how to describe this cologne but it is sooo good. I buy it for my husband every year for Christmas. It's a perfect winter scent. It's warm and I love it. People always ask him what cologne he is wearing and tell him it smells so good (I'm hoping to find a perfume that does that for me LOL) It's the most unique men's cologne I have ever smelled. It's not obnoxious and harsh like most men's scents are
by Mario on Apr 3, 2014
the original and the best. could be quite unpleasant for some, but you'll get used to it. spectacular scent. love it!
Sample for sure
by Jonathan on Feb 20, 2014
This is not as potent as the original but closer to Joop! strong silage not so much gasoline as pine with a hint of turpentine. Unique worth a try.. I for one like it but have had both positive and negative comments on it. Be prepared to rock this stuff its, out there and not for everyone. A classic but one that almost demands being sampled to see if you are able to pull it off.
by Heather on Jan 24, 2014
Man, this juice is insanely strong! I'm not exaggerating either. Probably the strongest I have ever sampled. The other strongest I've tried is Joop! Homme, but I think Fahrenheit beats that in both categories of strong and uniqueness! How I wish all of my scents had this kind of tenacity! It's extremely sexy, dark, and has notes of gasoline that make it rich and interesting! The Perfume House of Dior definitely knows what it is doing for it's audience! Fahrenheit is in the top 5 most important scents since the '80's, I totally believe! I really love this fragrance! I think it should be a staple for any serious frag lover.
This Stuff IS AWESOME!
by Ricky on Nov 5, 2013
Smells like gasoline, but in an amazing, sexy way
