  1. Great in warm weather

by lls on Jun 10, 2016

I'm amending my first review. In cool weather, it is nice but not very exciting. In warm weather, the florals open up, and it is what I Was hoping L'Artisan Mimosa pour Moi would be.
  2. Orange Almond

by Nazia on Jan 14, 2016

Wow :) I feel so comforted when wearing this fragrance. It starts off with fizzy, bright orange - clementine or mandarin to be exact. At this stage, I was eating oranges with this on my wrists, and the combination of fresh orange smell on top of the fizzy orange I was smelling was divine. The fizzy orange soon dissipates, into a lovely almond vanilla, still with some orange scent (no fizziness though.) There is a slight floral quality, if you could imagine small pink flower petals falling into a pool of milk with whole almonds, mandarin segments and maybe a little honey or vanilla. Kind of like those soap ads where they show you all the things they put in the soap to make you want to buy it. That's what this smells like. It's powdery, sweet, and so snuggly. I don't imagine a Hollywood star on the red carpet when I smell this - more like a Hollywood actress who is in her robe at the end of the day (still looking spectacular!) snuggling her children.

By drydown, the orange flavor is ebbing away, so perhaps layered with a pure orange fragrance (like Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine) could make this even more delicious.
  3. Cinnamon and vanilla

by lls on Apr 13, 2014

Pleasant enough vanilla, with a nicely-judged amount of cinnamon. Seems like it's missing something to me. Maybe I can't smell the musk? That might also explain the average longevity.
  4. Good but not Spectacular

by Salome on Jan 19, 2014

This does smell like Hollywood glamour, at least at the start. Then the drydown turns into a nice, but uninventive warm vanilla. It's very pretty, just not all that distinctive. If you're looking for a solid vanilla, this is worth a try. But if you have lots of vanilla in your perfume wardrobe, this may or may not do anything special for you.
