Very disappointed after reading so many positive reviews. Weak performance and generic smelling.

Really wanted to like this
by Ando on May 19, 2017
Tried this out and found that this scent just isn't for me. Worth a try if you are curious but this one didn't make the cut for me. Somehow the balance seems off for me. On my skin this seems harsh and sort of abrasive. I could see some folks really liking it but unfortunately not I.

Armani Code is a spicy Oriental fragrance with many gorgeous manly accords, like leather, tobacco, and spice. It opens with
bergamot, which I love in men's scents. It needs to be reapplied after about 4 hours to keep it going strong.

definitely getting a large bottle of this
So Fresh, So Clean
by Rick on Feb 15, 2017
I like it. Smells fresh and clean with a hint of flowers. Kind of reminds me of Armani Emporio but not as sweet or flowery. Good scent overall.
good but generic
by Bhaskar on Dec 15, 2016
a good fragrance but too generic
by Steve on Oct 26, 2016
This is one of my top 5 scents. So much so that I also use an imitation to supplement bec I could not afford to keep this in supply. Lasts long/ smells good/ and have received nice compliments.
by RC on Aug 18, 2016
I like this when I tried it but probably wouldn't get a bottle of it. Pleasant enough but I prefer Armani Diamonds to this one. Diamonds is one of my favorites. This isn't bad at all just didn't interest me enough to wanna purchase a bottle.
This one is somewhat powdery and I get a lot of lavender from it. Cant' say I get much of the apple note listed. Safe blind buy.

This cologne is very easy to wear. Smells fresh. There's a reason this is popular.
by Michael on Jun 27, 2016
Even though this may not be my best, favorite or most expensive scent...I ALWAYS receive compliments from people when I go out, which makes it one of my favorite scents in my collection. It is inoffensive, yet noticeable and attractive.

One of the best! Smells like root beer to me and works well in fall and winter. It does last quite a while, but projection is poor and price is high. Code Ultimate is better!
Still a great scent
by Robert on Jun 8, 2016
Even though it's more than 10 years old, it still smells great and is one of my favorites.
by Kevin on Jun 6, 2016
This is a very formal scent. It's definitely for a sharp dressed man, hence the name Armani Code—which is obviously short for dress code.
As for the scent itself, this is a very sophisticated blend, whose vibe is very classy and exquisite. The essence comes off with somewhat of a powdery scent, and for that reason this cologne has a very vintage feel to it. This is like a 1930's high society scent. It's something you'd expect one of Guccio Gucci's business associates to be wearing to their business meeting.
So if you're into very exquisite scents, or scents with a vintage vibe to them, then you're going to love Armani Code. Otherwise, this probably isn't the one for you.
Safe and fresh
by Alishia on May 24, 2016
I usually recommend this cologne for guys that don't like shopping for cologne. Its extremely safe and versatile. Its one of the only men's scents I find that is a safe blind buy. Very nice citrus that fades too fast into a clean wood base. Try Armani Mania if you like this one but aren't happy with projection and longevity.
Nice fresh scent
by Brandon on Apr 10, 2016
This is a nice citrusy scent with a very slight spicy note;great if you like more fruity scents.
I'm giving it four stars instead of five because longevity was definitely medium.
Night Time On Colder Days
by Jack on Mar 24, 2016
This smells great and it's definitely more of a romantic or dress up scent. I would use this at night when going on a date or dinner at a fancy restaurant. Code is not an overpowering smell so people will not get offended by it, but it does seem a little weak and it becomes a close to the skin scent soon.
by MrsPress on Feb 27, 2016
I love this fragrance. I think it is very sexy. I know some people find it feminine for a male scent and I agree somewhat. The female version is slightly masculine as well. I don't care, they are both sexy beyond belief. Awesome!!!
One of the best men's perfumes
by Janita on Feb 21, 2016
I love this perfume. My boyfriend owns this and it's super super nice and masculine. And I'm not the only one who thinks so :P Great gift idea for a man.
Becomes Kinda Bland
by Brian on Nov 13, 2015
Initially, I get citrus, anise, and tonka. After a little while, the dry down just becomes a rather bland, sweet combination of notes. Yesterday, I compared this side-by-side with Zegna Intenso, and I preferred the latter.
I love this, but it is very weak on me
by Sean on Nov 12, 2015
I got rid of mine because of how weak it was. It's too bad, because it's a really sexy, casual fragrance that can be worn in almost any occasion.
by Helder on Oct 30, 2015
This is my favorite cologne. This sweet smelling cologne leaves a trail after you wherever you go. Smells like a secret on your body. I highly recommend this product.
by Zach on Jun 3, 2015
This truly is a great smelling fragrance, however it is very popular and chances are people will have smelt this on somebody before. Its a great scent for the colder months or for a night out. Projection and longevity are decent but not great.
Tobacco, leather, vanilla
by Colin on Mar 24, 2015
The notes I get from Armani Code are tobacco, leather, with a sweet powdery vanilla.
I would say this is a winter/fall fragrance but maybe you could pull it off on a cool summer night if you don't over spray. The longevity is decent but the projection is a bit below average.
by Nazia on Mar 18, 2015
Everyone smells like this - it smells good, but is overused.
by Andre on Dec 29, 2013
For me it's a night time/winter fragrance. Won't disappoint.
by Phillip on Dec 4, 2013
You really can't go wrong with code. it's the first fragrance I've ever owned. Sweet, musk, slightly leathery.
