A Bit too 'Perfum-y' for Me
by Daveena on Sep 16, 2017
This was the 3rd in the "sailing sampler" for women, that I bought here. The other 2 were more 'salt air, beachy', which I lived. I don't know if my preference for the other scents in this sampler pack influenced me against this one in contrast, but this one struck me as a little too overpowering in kind of a superficial, going to the mall, gotta wear perfume, humdrum way. Not that it smells BAD. It smells pretty good, but I don't feel it stands out enough to catch my attention and make me identify with it as something I could consider "uniquely me".

Very good smell. I would deffilently buy a larger bottle next time.

This fragrance opens up with a blast of crisp citrus and mint. It is definitely best suited for the summer months as there is also an aquatic nature about it. I don't much care for mint in fragrances, but I can see how it would be very refreshing for those who do. I got average longevity and poor projection.
nice, clean scent
by Amy on Mar 22, 2017
I liked this one. I could definitely smell the peony scent - it was a nice clean floral scent. It almost smelled like soap. I could see myself wearing this all the time if it weren't for the fact that my husband thought it was too "flowery". He basically doesn't like any perfume.

This reminds me of spring flower by creed, but to be honest, this lasts longer and has more depth instead of just smelling like lemons.
Difficult To Decide
by KE on Feb 17, 2017
This is a strange one. I suppose I'm still trying to make up my mind about it. There are times that I like it more than others, and perhaps it just takes the right mood. It can be sharp, as others have mentioned. The metallic notes others have described seem like they might be from some "beachy" quality that's trying to come through, perhaps saltwater. It is worth trying for yourself to see how it plays on your skin, because it's difficult to describe.

I love these light fragrances ... D&G Light Blue being a staple in my collection... this was a similar scent. I would definitely order a bottle!

you can never go wrong with Giorgio Armani. With a light floral citrus scent it is fresh and bright.
Acqua Di Gioia.

I like this perfume. It is a little too tart for me. It does lighten up on the lemon after about an hour. I find it very fresh and summery. It also lasted a very adequate amount of time.

I love the mint that I can smell in it. I've never had a perfume with mint and I really liked the little bit of freshness that it gives
Great if you enjoy Light Blue
by Cindy on May 21, 2016
This to me smells like a stronger Light Blue. I don't like Light Blue, so I don't really like this scent. But I think it's a good choice if you like Light Blue. I think it's even woodier and more powdery.

Beautiful lemon. The drydown is very clean. This screams summer. I completely forgot about this perfume until I realized its summer.
why so popular?
by Marie on Jun 11, 2015
I don't understand why this fragrance is so popular. At first it smells like lemon windexed windows at a beach house, then the dry down smells like beachy flowers and soap. It's not awful, but not for me.

This smells nice at first. I get a lot of lemon and sugar, and it smells clean and fresh. But a few minutes passes and it starts smelling very metallic on me.. and almost like the smell of a penny. Compatibility might just have to depend on your chemistry.

This scent starts off quite masculine and actually kind of stays that way. It smells a lot like Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, that same salty smell but with something sharp, that almost sears your nose (mint?) I smell a hint of a flower, but it's like she is wrapped in seaweed and being forcefully watered salt water. Or the flower is drowning in the sea, every now and then breaking the surface.
It is not a bad smell! Just a little too sharp for me to enjoy inhaling up close. But the good thing is that it seems to last a while on my skin, so I like the whiffs I get through the day. It's not a "get close" scent, I don't think. It burns the nose too much.
Not for everyone
by Stephanie on Nov 10, 2014
I'm underwhelmed with this - after all the glowing reviews I read I expected this to blow me away because I love fresh, clean scents. Instead, it left me wondering what the fuss was about. It doesn't smell fresh or clean to me, in fact, it gives me a headache and leaves me wanting to take a deep breath of clean air to get it out of my system.
Good, clean smelling
by Jeney on Jan 10, 2014
I always said that I preferred clean, fresh, citrusy scents. But then I ordered pretty much ever clean, fresh, citrusy scent from this site and was truly and deeply disappointed. That's when I realized that I didn't really love clean, fresh, citrusy scents.
For a fresh and clean scent, this was truly beautiful. Very delicate, but not dainty. It smelled good. In the end, I had an, "It's not you, it's me" talk.

Lovely, clean aquatic scent, great for summer. The initial combination of sugary/salty softens to allow gorgeous florals and slight pepper in the drydown. This is a great delicate alternative if you find other aquatic perfumes too pungent, salty or sour on your skin.
Acqua Di Gioia
by Donna on May 25, 2013
Very aquatic and clean scent. If you like D&G Light Blue, try this. Great for the summer time, since it isn't heavy and overpowering. The mint is just enough to make you feel fresh. Lasts ALL DAY.
