Not what I expected

Smells too heavy
Perfume with a capital P !
by Birgitte on Jun 5, 2017
This perfume means buisness! To me its the archetype of parfume. Not for little girls, this is for grown ups. Not to say old lady like, I would say 50 and up but for anyone who is/feels mature. One does need confidence to wear it. Classy, sophisticated, beautiful gardenia-orange, strong, lively, exploding with color. It fits the orange color on the box. It's intense and borders on headachey for me, but I am sensitive. Not screetchy, theres it something that gives it warmth which rounds it of slightly. Very long lasting. Heavy sillage ( be careful not to overspray) I'll revisit this one in 20 years time.

This is another great fragrance by Hermes. Each is wonderfully unique. I think it has a very nice balance between the citrus and the floral fragrances.

Really like this scent!

I get no citrus from this scent...its all rich, deep floral. Its so well blended I find it impossible to identify individual notes. Very mature scent..a little too serious for my tastes. Oddly enough it reminds me of leaning in to kiss my mums overly powdered face as she left for work during the 80's? Weird but true.

Some days this is a wonderful, ladylike but not too ladylike, orange blossom perfume with a warmish base. Other days it is soapy and chilly, and I don't enjoy it at all. It always has very good sillage and longevity. I've docked it one star because of its inconsistency on me, but if you like orange blossom and don't mind an assertive fragrance, you should absolutely try it.

Hermes' products are always complex and unexpected. 24 Faubourg (the address of the flagship store in Paris) is ladylike, delicate and persistent without ever being overpowering,

This is one of those classic that smells like 'proper' perfume. No one will mistake it for your soap powder, shampoo or whatever you cooked that day!
It's sophisticated, combining an abstract blend of honeyed white florals and hazy/clean (not catty!) musks so it lasts and projects. It's not a typical white floral perfume though, it has a complex background of woods and herbs which give it that classic French feel, yet sunny, not stuffy. The hint of orange alongside orange blossom is lovely.
I'd say it's ideally suited to a well dressed lady who enjoys a luxurient lifestyle. Yet, this perfume isn't overly pricy at all. It's slightly old school, I can't see the average 20 or even 30 year old wearing it, though some would.
It's one of those classics, and I doubt it will ever go out of production

I love this perfume's classic opulence. It is mostly an orange flower with many other notes, and a sweet sandalwood base. Still the sum of the individual notes does not convey the happy outcome of their coming together in this radiant composition. 24 Faubourg is an olfactive masterpiece.
Love love love

Heavy and Non-Descript
by Laura on Jan 14, 2016
I can't get past all the amber, patchouli, and sandalwood to get to the fruity and floral top- and mid-notes in this fragrance. I find it heavy and despite there being a bit of sweetness, I can't pick out any specific notes of flowers or fruit except maybe orange, but even then I'm searching for it. It's definitely a powerhouse of a fragrance though and lasts forever.
Orangey and Powdery Floral

:) Classy. Sweet, orange flowers, powdery, sophisticated. I am surprised that younger women don't like this fragrance, I am young myself but find it quite wearable. It is sweet, like many other young fragrances, and is comforting when worn for a while. You can't really go wrong with this one (unless spraying too much, perhaps.)
